COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bitters are popular pub beers in England and are closely related to the more well known pale ales. Saranac Extra Special Bitter has a rich, maltytaste balanced by the pleasant bitterness of Willamette hops. The finish is dry with a hint of the floral english Fuggle and spicy Saaz hop. Enjoy!

Bottle – Pours medium dark amber, low caramel colored head. I found this to be a very easy beer to drink. The Bitter hops finish clean and leave a nice aftertaste, but not near as strong as other hoppier American Pale Ale’s. For me, this would not be a go-to beer, but it’s a good change.

MrBunn (2243) - Western, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a finger or so of head. Aromas of apple juice with a little bit of hops. Astringent alcohol shines through a lackluster body of caramel malt and spice. This just isn’t a very good ESB.
