kcmo19 (33), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Oct 14, 2008 I actually thought this was a pretty good beer. It had a nice bitterness to it, and was quite refreshing. This is my favorite Saranac that I’ve had. tgncc (300), Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 7, 2008 Updated: Oct 8, 2008Aroma is hoppy for this style, obviously an effect of dry hopping. Very malty, grassy, cereal like aroma. The appearance is crisp, clear, strong carbonation, persistent white head. The flavor is malty sweet, mailnly pale malts, and spicy, earthy hop contribution. The finish is again mainly malts on the palate, little touch of spicy hops. Thin mouthfeel. This isn’t my favorite style, but this actually is ok. borgination (101), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Sep 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear yellow with lots of champagne-size bubbles and a white head. Initial flavor is crisp and dry with a stong grassy taste. There is a lightly sour aftertaste. OK beer. Beerlando (1356), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 27, 2008 Pours a crystal clear golden amber color with a quick, fizzy, off-white head. Minimal, random dots of lace mark the glass. The aroma is very simple, pale malts and cereal grains met with a touch of floral hopping and a drop of honey. Flavors basically mimic the same. Fresh and crisp grains and lightly sweet malts are well balanced by subtle floral hops, with a decent pils creaminess throughout and hint of peppery spice on the finish. The mouthfeel is a little thin for the style, in addition to being overly carbonated. Nothing fancy here, just a decent, drinkable, straightforward pils. BillWyce (32), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 19, 2008 Pours a pale straw color with little head
and carbonation rising from the bottom
of the glass. yeasty, grassy aroma.
Very light palate. Taste of...not particularly much. A very little lingering
hops note, but very little to describe
taste-wise.
