Bottle. Piney hop aroma, hazy amber, thin head. Medium body, coats the mouth, plenty of bitterness but lighter than many imp Ipas.

Clear amber beer. Good tan head. Sweet malt on the nose, somewhat lacto. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Sweetish creamy malt with sugary lactose gives way to fairly brutal hop. Bitter bitter orange and a trace of grapefruit. Aniseed alcohol. Trace of bubblegum as the beer warms up. Okay if slightly odd.

The taste was of a sweet burst of grapefruit, but the nose failed to deliver as pungent an aroma. Pours a rich orange amber, but the palate is a bit thick. A nice imperial ipa, but nothing too sophisticated.

Bottle. Hazy copper color with nice tan head. A very malty taste for an IPA. Tasty. Bitter. Really nice brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fazit: Geht so. Test vom 18.9.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,7,8,8,8 - 8,05

from notes: orange pour, small head. Hoppy aroma. Harsh taste. Alcohol is first and foremost. Bitter and unruly. Not great.

Good beer. Not really tasting the 85 IBUs this beer says it has. Taste a little lighter but still very good.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear light amber/light orange with beige finger width head. Good small bubble lacing, medium body, sticky texture, and bitter hop aroma. Taste is caramel malt, some grapefruit, some pine, and bitter hop finish. A good amount of flavor, but overall it just average. Better as it warms.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2012 Aging this beer for only 2 months has actually really affected the taste. At first the aroma was all piney hops and alcohol. Now hops are still very detectable but cocoa and caramel stands out much more. Originally the taste was straight up hops. Pine, citrus, nice and bitter with alcohol on the backend. Now im hit with a lot of chocolate and caramel upfront. Very sweet, maybe some dark fruit, still a little to complex to disern. Hops present at end. Pine and slightly metallic, not an offensive metallic. Not nearly as hoppy and alcohol is barely detectable. I figured this would be an interesting beer to age as it is brewed with 10 hops and 10 malts. Yes aging decreases hops but I figured malts would age well which they did. So suprised such a short time really changed this beer. From a strong bitter hoppy boozy ipa to a smooth sweet beer. Got another sitting in the closet to sit another few months. Really intrigued to see what happens.
