Commercial Description:
Mt. Marcy, Skylight, Algonquin...Majestic Adirondack High Peaks - They are the inspiration for our "High Peaks" series, a line of beers that are bigger, more complex and flavorful; beers that are meant to be sipped and savored. The second in our series, Saranac Imperial Stout, is brewed with eleven malts to balance a delicious chocolate and coffee roasted flavor with the spicy herbal character of the generous kettle and dry hops. At 50 IBU's this beer captures the essence of the Adirondacks. Enjoy!

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of hard roasted malt as well as lighter notes of soy sauce and smoke. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hard roasted malt and coffee as well as lighter notes of smoke, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Black and opaque with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and dried fruit. Very solid body with plenty of burned malt and almost vinous pruny accents. Also plenty of sweet licorice, coffee and alcohol. Some malt bitterness in the finish. A very straight and well composed Imperial Stout. 190908

A Sim rate (tap at Barcade, Brooklyn): Roasty, bittersweet aroma. Sour, but amazing goodness. Definite red wine notes. Perfect imperial stout appearance. Richest truffle flavour. Dark chocolate. Bittersweet. It’s so damn good. Rich and creamy palate. Damn. Damn. Damn.
