A very slight citric aroma was noted. Was a light amber-orange color. Not very much going on in terms of amything else however. Taste was thin and watery, and the finish, while hoppy, was overall very bland. ’Sigh’.

No real aroma to this - beats skunky! Thin, quickly dissipating head. Bad mouthfeel to it - hard to describe - but the hoppiness just does not present itself in a pleasing way. It overpowers whatever flavor it is trying to deliver. Had better from Saranac.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pretty one-dimensional in the Cascade hop department. Very tinny and a little oversparged tasting. Good mouthfeel, but that was a little counterbalanced by the clinging bitterness.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Absolutely horrible. Besides the watery taste, seemingly a staple of Saranac, tasted and smelled like it had been freshley dranined from a river.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light bronze, very bubbly, quickly disappearing head with little lacing. English style - metallic aroma - herbal and floral hop aroma and flavor are very low and not enough to balance the slight skunkiness and bitterness. Definitely not full bodied like the commercial description says.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bronze-amber with a thick healthy head--this english style IPA has a light floral aroma and a blandly hopped flavor. Offkey, unbalanced bitterness doom this insipid IPA.

Not enough hops. Missing something at the end.

Deep amber gold color with a medium thick head and good lace. Sweet fruity (citrus) aroma. Bitter hoppy flavor throughout with a hint of sweetness. medium bodied and dry.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This had the hints of a good IPA but needed a bigger hop presence. didn’t have the dry bitter finish i want from a good IPA. but it did have a little of that good kinda grassy floral aroma nad taste just needs more of it.

I have never seen an IPA that looked like a Labatts, but this is it. Because I live in Upstate NY, I want to like Saranac products…but the taste is never there. Genny light has more flavor. This beer should be embarassed to call itself an IPA.
