Commercial Description:
This golden sparkling blond ale was brewed to pay homage to a 1000-year tradition rooted in Cologne, Germany. Clear, crisp and easy to drink, the Kolsch of today is lighter than the "House" beer that was served in Cologne 200 years ago - the city that made Kolsch famous. We hope you'll enjoy it!

hazy gold, wispy white head, several streaks of lace, sweet malt aroma with a light corn character and just a hint of floral hops, medium body, sweet malt flavor, still a good bit of the corn quality, nice balancing hop flavor and bitterness,

12-ounce bottle from the "12 beers of summer" package. Chill haze to this nearly-clear, dark gold liquid with a faint white head...really insubstantial nose offers just hints of caramel maltiness and some odd stinky weeds...flavor is significantly more assertive with some decent pale malt underpinnings to a mostly dry, faintly grassy/herbal texture that finishes slightly bitter and metallic. Not bad but for the aroma, or lack of it.

Dark straw pour with minimal head. Aroma of malt, some hopcit, grass. Tastes hopcity, with some grassy notes. Not very good, but suitable as a lawnmower beer.

12oz bottle-pours a big foamy white head with gold color. Aroma is funky grain, musty, hint of citrus. Taste is musty, funky grain, mild. Thin finish. OK carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pale golden colour, white head. Grainy aroma, light noble hop aroma and even some ethanol (not good in a 5% beer). Light berry esters. Flavour is also grainy, peppery and slightly dank. Fruity esters and some fairly assertive bitterness. Metallic and vegetal. Pretty poor.
