COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden sparkling blond ale was brewed to pay homage to a 1000-year tradition rooted in Cologne, Germany. Clear, crisp and easy to drink, the Kolsch of today is lighter than the "House" beer that was served in Cologne 200 years ago - the city that made Kolsch famous. We hope you'll enjoy it!

Boring! Clear golden pour with no head or lacing. Aroma is faint and not very captivating. The taste is nearly as plain. it’s well balanced but that’s not saying much considering the lack of flavor. Ok at best and that’s stretching it!

Pours yellow, little hazy, with a white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast and floral. Taste is sweet with a tart tempered finish. Light bodied with smooth texture.

12 ounce bottle from Saranac 12 Beers Of Summer variety pack purchased at Sams Club. Gold hue, medium white head that mostly lasted with fine lacing, musty/pale lagery nose, lively carbonation, taste is an unbalanced mishmash that morphs into a subdued bitterness as the glass warms. Not the best beer in the 12 pack.

12 ounce bottle - Charlie’s Beer & Wine in Marietta, Georgia.

BB September 2012 (reviewed early July).

Appearance: Pours out a fairly clear, deep gold body with a fine, white head receding at a moderate pace, though it never quite fades away completely.

Smell: A sniff of simple, basic maltiness with barely a hint of breadiness to it. Very, very little lemon and spiciness from the hops. It’s present without much presence.

Taste: A lightly sweet touch of pale malts, with a slim measure of breadiness. Low, light citrus accents hinting at basic lemon. Very light spiciness from the German hops. Lightly bitter. Less than crisp finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. It’s got some slight bubbliness to it, but I would feel remiss to declare it crisp.

Overall: A humdrum Kölsch that misses the mark, but serves as a fine light beer to cool me off in the dog days of summer.

Bottle. Light, almost imperceptible, grainy malt aroma. Slightly hazy golden with a large white head, moderate lacing. Very light, slightly sweet grainy malt flavor. Light watery body, moderate carbonation. Doesn’t taste bad, but doesn’t have much flavor. Would work for the lawnmower.

Sampled on 10/18/2012. This Kolsch pours a medium yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with decent lacing and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, a hint of honey and some citrus. A light to medium bodied Kolsch. The malts are fruity and sweet, a little cereal. The hops are floral and earthy. Decent carbonation. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. Decent summer beer. Easy drinking. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Slightly hazed lemon-gold with a fluffy white head. Scent is malt, grass, slight citrus tart. Taste is light, malty, grainy..... Again, slightly tart/acidic. Just so-so.....easy drinker.

More like it Saranac. Nice grassy scent from bottle, directly consumed. to of these balanced me steadily for the quoits match with Rob-o and Chris the giant. Simply put this is a very easy beer to consume. Longer body has pleasant dual tone of malt body. Direct and unassuming, this beer was a great compliment to the plethora of smoked BBQ meats we devoured.
