COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac Pale Ale is a classic English Pale Ale brewed with six specialty malts and aggressively-hopped with hand-selected English Kent Goldings & Fruggles hops. Look for a rich fruity hop bouquet. A copper amber color and a smooth, full-flavored taste with a crisp finish that only comes from a genuine top fermented ale. Enjoy!

Unremarkable American pale. They use NW hop varieties, but not in NW amounts, which is nice.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2003 Pretty decent ale, hoppy and refreshing. RERATE 2/12/03: Excellent balance between the English hops and the nice fruity malts. This is a bargain at $5.99 per sixer.

One of the stronger pale ales I have tried, it is a high quality beer that is worth trying

Had quite a few off the tap in NYC last weekend. Not bad, nice head, hints of carmel and no bitterness at all.

Not bad for the price but there are much better American pale ales. Saranac also makes better beers tha this.

Crap. Sweet, fruity aroma but thereís not much else going on here. I got very little in the way of hops and thereís absolutely no malt to be found anywhere. Body is ultra thin and watery. Donít go out of your way for this.

Couldnít get much of a smell coming off of it and the color didnít excite. The head all but dissapeared after one sip. A certain sweetness is noticed in intial taste and aftertaste, but what it comes from I canít tell. Had a nice dryness to it, however. Overall, not bad, but nothing was impressive
