Bottle. Pours amber orange with off-white foamy head, floral aroma, high carbonation, thin body, slightly metallic hoppy taste, medium bitter finish. The hops bitterness is a bit off.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crisp and refreshing the hops still outweigh any malt flavor. I dub this beer IPA-light. A little more malt flavor and a little less carbonation and this would be a perfect pale ale for me.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
bottle - spicy and fruity hop nose is light but pleasant. Feel and flavor fall a little flat. Iím not a fan of English style pales generally and on top of that, this is an average one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
35cl Bottle from drankgigant.nl., as Our Pale Ale. Slightly hazy copper/amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of subtle hops, light citrus, lots of caramel, crystal malts. Flavour is likewise, light fruity, light toast, crystal malts, caramel, decent hoppy bitterness. Light bodied. I think itís a bit old already, nevertheless an easy and enjoyable beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear copper color. Thereís a little under two fingers worth of off-white colored head, and the retention is actually quite good. Plenty of lacing is left behind, as well.
S: There is a slight hoppiness to the nose, floral in nature. But primarily, the strongest note is caramel and toffee from the malts. Itís certainly hoppier than most standard EPAs, but too malty to be a proper APA - and the malts arenít the kind that strike me the right way.
T: Looking at is as an English-style pale ale, itís a bit hoppier than the norm, thankfully. Herbal, piny bitterness hits the palate first, albeit in a restrained fashion. After the midtaste, the caramel-laden malts come to the forefront. Theyíre the textbook crystal malts (blegh), and I donít like them. Having said that, this is just dry enough where Iím almost not bothered by them. But damn, I wish this had even more hops.
M: Kind of sweet...given how the last two Saranac beers were pretty damn dry, itís disappointing that this has a sweeter, heavier feel. Itís not undrinkable per se, just not at all effortless.
O: Itís honestly mildly successful as an English-style pale ale...but a failure as a íMurican pale ale. I donít even like (most) EPAs, so this one is a misfire to me. A tick is a tick, though.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours clear amber, quick head, some lacing. Aroma of pine and caramel. Tastes about the same on the sweet side. Light bodied, medium carbonation, soapy mouth feel. Finishes lightly bitter with notes of herbs, caramel, pine and a little metallic. Average.
