COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Finally a Pale Ale true to it’s name! We’ve created a crisp, hoppy Pale Ale that is truly pale in color without sacrificing the hop character and malt balance you expect in an American Pale Ale. We’ve selected citrusy centennial hops balance by the background nuttiness of Maris Otter Malt. We think you’ll find this the most refreshing Pale Ale you’ve ever had. 11.75°

Pours clear yellowish gold with a thin white head and floral aroma. Yes, this is truly a very pale beer. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a fair amount of hop bitterness and a dry finish.

(Rating #3230)

(12oz bottle thanks to ericandersnavy) bright yellow with a ring of off-white bubbles. Nose of soap, floral/bread and lightly spicy hops. Taste of bread, VERY subdued hops, umami, earth, butter, with cola-like carbonation. Not good.

Sampled on 5/20/2010. This pale ale pours a light copper amber color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts and floral hops, slightly sweet. A light to medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet, hint of tea. The hops are floral and citrusy. Nice carbonation. It is a lighter version of an American Pale Ale, the flavors are just muted they do not taste watered down. A nice summer beer, probably a nice session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2009
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale golden color with a huge yellow-white head. The aroma was lightly fruity, floral and piney hops. The flavor was light fruity and floral hops with faint tangy malts. Decent balance. Mild but pleasant.

Crisp golden coloured body with the lightest hint of an orange or copper trying to peek out. Light off-white head and a few bubbles rising from the bottom - doesn’t look horrible. Aroma of funky malt, a touch of light hops, skunk, cardboard and corn. Light-bodied; A touch of hops up front with a little pine and grapefruit and a touch of malt, cardboard and some dry herbal tastes. Aftertaste shows some light hops even longer with a prolonged hoppy taste that I can’t believe is coming from a Saranac beer - actual intended taste. Overall, a suprisingly decent beer from a way subpar brewer. The beer isn’t good, let me get that straight, but at least it’s not bad, and even pleasurable when in a hot day! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 24-July-2011 for US$1.35 sampled at home in Washington on 06-August-2011.

ChainGangGuy (4280) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - OCT 30, 2010
Part of the Saranac Beers of Summer Box - $13.48 at Sherlock’s in Marietta, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a burnished bronze body with noted clarity and an initial flurry of active carbonation that forms an inch-high layer of soda-like suds. Smell: Fairly mild nose, with gentle, breezy notes of sliced white hoagie rolls, cut lemons, and flower petals. Again, it’s all rather mild. Taste: Light touch of light pale malts with a small, meager hint of lightly toasted bread. Lightly sweet boost of caramel cookies. Light nuttiness underneath. Lightly citrusy with some soft florals and a very light amount of balancing bitterness. Light, clean finish simply alive with carbonation. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-high carbonation (again, a bit soda-like). Drinkability: Fairly innocuous and easy to drink. While I felt I would be mighty quick to dismiss this one, the two bottles ended up being a nice, light beverage (despite its soda-like tendencies) to drink while cooking up a batch of shrimp and grits (with chorizo).

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Mild caramel and biscuit aromas. Crisp with toasted bread and nuts. Lasting dry earthy finish.
