COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light colored wheat ale might have a hazy appearance, but one thing’s crystal clear: it practically sparkles with bright, citrusy flavor. Enjoy!

Uber-cloudy pineapple yellow. Decent meringue of head. Looks very summery, like a saison. The aroma is almost unlike any beer I’ve had before, although I can’t quite put my finger on it. Is it a creamiscle? Is it tangerine? Orange peel? Orange juice? Grains of paradise? It is spicy and sweet but also a little sour. And for some reason it gives me a sense memory of a scratch-and-sniff sticker. Okay creamsicle: final answer. The flavor doesn’t quite hold up to the promise that the aroma made. It’s a little musty (possibly age). The orange and tangerine are still present though. It is more like an orange juice than anything. Slick feel; medium bodied. You could probably make a mimosa with this stuff. It’s fruity and has a sweet, almost candy-like quailty. You could make a candle out of it, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to drink it all day.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a great, bright, turbid golden canary color with a frothy finger of off-white head that laces copiously all over your mother’s face. Nose is limey citrus, white peppery and coriandery spice, honeydew, malt. The smell is great. Tastes fruity, with orange marmalade, honeydew, mild spice, and a dense and complex finish. This is indubitably one of the best beers Matt has ever brewed, and I would drink this with a fox, I would drink it in a box, I would drink it on a hill, I would drink it while banging a woman who is on the pill. I would, I would Sam I am!

Bottle from sampler pack. Pours amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is banana, candy sugar, floral notes, tropical fruit, and light Belgian yeast. Flavor is dry malts forward, light floral notes, light citrus esters, and faint toast; dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

From a bottle. Pours murky dull brown with a foamy frothy white head. Tastes like hops, dry apricot, spice, light pine and citrus. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet sugary oranges, peaches, apricots.

Cloudy, banana yellow. Aroma of fruits, strawberry. Slightly hoppy for the class but enjoyable. Better than expected.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet tropical fruit and strawberry aromas. Sweet summer fruit and bitter/sour seeds in the lasting finish.

Bottle from Wegmans Collegeville. Pours hazy dark yellow with a small white head that holds for a second, tops. The aroma is loaded with orange juice, grapefruit, super sweet and reminds me of an island drink. The taste is dry, weird citrus, artificial type grapefruit.

Pours cloudy golden, slight thin white head. Aroma apricot, citrus, wheat, slight clove. Taste lemon zest, apricot, citrus, starts sweet, finishes slightly tart and a bit bitter. Mouthfeel light body, crisp dry high carbonation. Overal nice beer, interesting and refreshing.

Murky yellow pour with fair ring of white head. Aroma is a lemon and wheat. Flavor is what I would call ’lemonberry’. Slight tart and tangy bitter bite on the tail. One of the more flavorful brews from Saranac, and it doesn’t seem ’watered down’ like several others i’ve had. But not exactly my cup of tea either.

12 oz bottle, this beer surprised me. I was never a big fan of white ales but the Citra hops really make this one interesting. A tropical taste in this beer, quite refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
