2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pretty milquetoast affair, from its innocuous pumpkin notes to its unimpressive array of spice. The body is pretty thin and nondescript, despite the pleasant nose. This Saranac offering feels like an obligatory and half-hearted brew, aimed at a quick cash grab.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a bottle. Of all of the pumpkin beers Iíve tried, this is the most recent. Aroma is bland, but the taste is bitter and reminds me of all of the worst parts of fall.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Easily one of my least favorite pumpkins! Ok bubbly amber pour w/ a thin white head & little lacing. The aroma is more malt than anything but there is a very faint pumpkin undertone. The taste is acidic w/out much spice or flavor at all coming through. Pretty poorly done!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"pours dark amber color. a bit lighter than Smuttynose and Post Road in the head to head. like a pumpkin spiced cream ale. well balanced, maybe slightly above average."

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
amber color; pumkin aroma; bitter pumpkin flavor with cinnamon notes; not as overpowering as many pumkin beers tend to be, but still not one Id prefer to drink

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pumpkin spice aromas are low. Color is a dark orange with a white head with poor retention. Flavor has an oxidized paper taste with a low level of spicing and hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is watery with an astringency on the end and medium low carbonation. Overall, the recipe needs to be adjusted and there needs to be more quality control. I wouldn't recommend this beer.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
An ok pumpkin, a bit boring. Pours a clear red with quickly dissipating head. Smells good, pumpkin and spices and cinnamon. Taste is lacking however, a bit of pumpkin at the start, but a very empty finish. Had in the bottle.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cute little quart jug from Bev-Mo in Folsom, CA. Pours copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma is pie spice as advertised. Med minus body. Itís a little lacking body wise, but the spice is good, and that makes the beer seem more substantial. Easy drinker.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Clear, still, dark amber, thin ivory rim head, a few dots of lace that slide back in. Taste is malt that adds pumpkin spice in the palate. The finish needs some bitter or a fizzy edge, something to keep it from drifting aimlessly. A drinkable brew, but weak and unbalanced, especially in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
32 ounce Saranac howler.
Glass: Dogfish Head pub glass.
Appearance: A large and dense light tan head sits on a clear amber body.
Aroma: Mild aroma with a light sweetness and a bit of spice. Cinnamon, caramel and vanilla come to mind.
Taste: The flavor is similar to the aroma, mild with a hint of sweetness and subtle spices. Mild slightly malty intro with a dash of cinnamon, pumpkin and vanilla by the finish.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Not a bad pumpkin beer by any means, a bit mild but thatís not necessarily a bad thing. I wonít buy this again, but itís worth a drink.
