COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In celebration of the fall harvest. Here's an autumn favorite that's as enjoyable as pumpkin pie. This hearty ale is brewed with cinnamon, allspice, cloves and vanilla. Look for a full body and amber color. We're sure you'll enjoy this special brew.

Clear orange amber, light spices some earthy vegetable aroma, maybe even Pumpkin! Body is ok and finish is abrupt.

1 quart bottle from Bevmo, Salinas. Nose is light pumpkin, nutmeg, and caramel malt. Clear amber with a medium off white head. Flavor is light pumpkin spices and sweetness.

Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body with a one finger fizzy off-white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is pretty decent, it’s just slightly sweet, a fair amount of pumpkin, and a well restrained spicing. The flavor is a little lacking though, the malt comes across as a bit thin with a little huskiness. Fairly minimal pumpkin flavor, but at least it’s matched up against a light spice bill. Lighter bodied with a fizzy carbonation level and a short finish. Meh, in the lower tier among the pumpkin beers I’ve had this season.

Nice color, aroma wasn't particularly indicative of anything, but tasted okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty milquetoast affair, from its innocuous pumpkin notes to its unimpressive array of spice. The body is pretty thin and nondescript, despite the pleasant nose. This Saranac offering feels like an obligatory and half-hearted brew, aimed at a quick cash grab.

Poured from a bottle. Of all of the pumpkin beers I’ve tried, this is the most recent. Aroma is bland, but the taste is bitter and reminds me of all of the worst parts of fall.

Easily one of my least favorite pumpkins! Ok bubbly amber pour w/ a thin white head & little lacing. The aroma is more malt than anything but there is a very faint pumpkin undertone. The taste is acidic w/out much spice or flavor at all coming through. Pretty poorly done!

"pours dark amber color. a bit lighter than Smuttynose and Post Road in the head to head. like a pumpkin spiced cream ale. well balanced, maybe slightly above average."

amber color; pumkin aroma; bitter pumpkin flavor with cinnamon notes; not as overpowering as many pumkin beers tend to be, but still not one Id prefer to drink

Pumpkin spice aromas are low. Color is a dark orange with a white head with poor retention. Flavor has an oxidized paper taste with a low level of spicing and hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is watery with an astringency on the end and medium low carbonation. Overall, the recipe needs to be adjusted and there needs to be more quality control. I wouldn't recommend this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
