In celebration of the fall harvest. Here's an autumn favorite that's as enjoyable as pumpkin pie. This hearty ale is brewed with cinnamon, allspice, cloves and vanilla. Look for a full body and amber color. We're sure you'll enjoy this special brew.

Once again, I was not disappointed by this seasonal brew. I absolutely love it! It is my second favorite fall beer.

After years of doubt about the middle-of-the road quality of Saranac products, I finally changed my opinion of this brand with this particular brew. It wasnít instantly apparent, but by the 2nd or 3rd bottle, I really got into this one. Much richer and malty than some other pumpkin ales out there. Not overly spicy either. Every store I went ran out by early October last fall. I will be sure to stock up on this one this year!

I love pumkin ale and I think this was one of the best I have ever had. Very light notes of pumpkin and nutmeg make this a real winner. TRY AND FIND IT IF YOU CAN!

Great aroma upon opening the beer. Great colour and good palate. Smells like and tastes like a pumpkin pie in a bottle. Totally enjoy drinking this in the fall. Overall, a great beer.

Simply put.. Itís pumpkin pie as a beer. Very easy to drink, light tasting, and has a very distinguishing taste. Pumpkin spices hit immediately and dominates the taste throughout the drink. The lingering taste afterwards tastes just like a nice Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. Makes me eager for the fall.

I was surprised by this beer. It had a good overall taste. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the Fall beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2009 Saranac Pumpkin Ale is a very clear, sparkling amber ale with a creamy off white head that has excellent retention and lacing. It has a strong aroma full of cinnamon, with notes of tangy pumpkin, vanilla and nutmeg. It has a fluffy medium body with a chalky finish. It pretty much tastes like cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. It has a light bitterness and a good balance. Itís spicy and tasty. [previous rating, 8 Sep 2007] Saranac Pumpkin Ale is very sparkling and amber. Itís crystal clear. There is a small white head on it for a moment and then itís gone. The aroma is of nutmeg, allspice, garam masala, etc. It is very wooden. Cinnamon takes the place of hops. Vanilla is detected, but not pumpkin. What stops it from smelling like root beer is the pale malt presence. It has a medium-light body thatís a little watery. Itís slightly sudsy-- a large and soft carbonation. Itís dry in the mouth and reasonably smooth. The flavor is mellow. It starts with pale malt extract and then moves to cinnamon, coke syrup and maybe orange peel. This is met at the end with a light flick of what seem to be noble hops. A roasted flavor comes through in the aftertaste. It maintains its woodenness throughout. Reasonably complex. Nice! Autumny! Wicked label! I want to chug this when the leaves change. Has a great aroma- you smell the pumpkin and spices. The bottling is ordinary, except for the jack-o-lantern on the label. Taste and palate are clean but substantial. Overall a great ale.

Best beer Iíve ever had from Matts. (And Iíve been drinking there Saranac Line since when they introduced it...). Perfect balance; not overdone - like most pumpkin ales; yet not too subtle -where you lose the flavor after the initial few sips...Nice, natural taste; very pleasant, and above all drinkable. had 2, and almost a 3rd with no let-down...Give this to the skeptics to try
