COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Red IPA is a twist on a traditional West Coast IPA featuring a deep red color from European dark caramel malts. We brew with generous amounts of American hops including Calypso, Palisade and Chinook to give this IPA a distinctive hop aroma. You’ll notice a strong hoppy flavor with caramel malt undertones and a unique color that gives this IPA a whole new personality.

Bottle. Nose is quite hoppy, pungent and light woody, lightly earthy, with some caramel. I don’t know much about Calypso or Palisade hops, but I like how they’re used here. Deep red body with orange highlights and a clingy off-tan head. Taste is strongly bitter, lightly rubbery, a good helping of citrus, very dry with a hint of sweetness from the oily hops. Caramel pushed away in favor of an earthen tone. Aggressive light-medium body. Like the pungency on the tongue as well, but there’s a bit too much lost in the malt department.

Pours a copper red amber color. Aroma is malty with a tingle of hoppy bitterness. Flavor is pretty standard IPA. A little bit more malty sweetness. Feels a little thin but otherwise, pretty solid.

Why is this beer getting shit on so hard?

This beer is actually pretty decent. Or at least the smell says it is. Pours a deep amber with a off white head that quickly fades into a ring. The aroma is where this beer really shines... Really nice pine aroma, some slight cat piss and a whole bucket of caramel. Pretty inviting. First sip reveals that old saranac house hop profile, just dialed up a few notches. Pretty decent, actually. Finishes long and bitter. Nice.

Mooi koperkleurig met kleine lichtbeige schuimkraag. Aroma van hop, kersen, caramel. Smaak is medium bitter, medium zoet. Lekker, maar veel te waterig en te weinig body.

Eh, decent balance of hops and malt. Earthy without being grassy or tea like. The bitterness sticks with you to long at the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Pours a light clear amber with an off white head. Soda like carbonation. Very slight malty aroma. Very little flavor whatsoever other than slight metallic notes. Very thin overall taste and palate. I think I am done with Saranac after this.

This beer pours a deep copper with red hugh. The head is thick and foamy and lingers. The nose is hoppy and caramel but not huge. It starts smooth and slowly finishes with slight hop finish. It is lighter than I expected but the finish lingers a bit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
