COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Red IPA is a twist on a traditional West Coast IPA featuring a deep red color from European dark caramel malts. We brew with generous amounts of American hops including Calypso, Palisade and Chinook to give this IPA a distinctive hop aroma. You’ll notice a strong hoppy flavor with caramel malt undertones and a unique color that gives this IPA a whole new personality.

Bottle. Medium amber color with red tint. Good head. More malty then hoppy on palate. Ok taste but not a great IPA.

Bottle. Light off white head on a dark red beer. Aroma off slightly, catty, hope spice, soft malt. Flavor is mostly bitter, dusty earth, too light sweet white middle, long bitter end. Water but dusty feel. Underwhelming.

Pours a nice ruby red with a moderate amount of foamy whitehead grapefruit almost sour aroma. Hi level of carbonation light bodied. Not really enough malt balance for a red IPA in my opinion. Unremarkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(bottle - 12 oz) Pours a slightly reddish hue with a puffy white head. Aroma is standard piney aroma with hints of citrus. Flavor is pretty much the same. Pine resin and bitter hops. A nice IPA but nothing out of the ordinary.

Aromas of toast, caramel, and citrus fruit. Clear ruby-bronze with a fully lasting, rocky, beige head. Off-dry, bitter, toasty, and somewhat grapey. Medium bodied, subtly spicy, carbonation is decent, and finishes with earthy bitterness and a touch of caramel sweetness.

Bottle. Standard-looking, "over-the-counter" red ale ... dark, reddish amber, thin but sticky head. Strong caramel character, unoffending in any way ... richly malted. Better flavored example of a macro lager. (#5021, 5/12/2013)

12 oz gift bottle from my neighbor Michelle - thanks! Surprisngly good for a low end sampler case item. Plenty of hops and a nice fresh taste. Not bad at all.

Appearance: Pours a red cloud.
Aroma: Aroma of caramel, light pine.
Taste: Light-medium bitterness, lots of caramel malt.
Palate:Light body.

Summary: Red IPAs are a particular favorite style of mine. This beer is a solid example, but not something I’m going to go out of my way to have.

Bottle. Nose is quite hoppy, pungent and light woody, lightly earthy, with some caramel. I don’t know much about Calypso or Palisade hops, but I like how they’re used here. Deep red body with orange highlights and a clingy off-tan head. Taste is strongly bitter, lightly rubbery, a good helping of citrus, very dry with a hint of sweetness from the oily hops. Caramel pushed away in favor of an earthen tone. Aggressive light-medium body. Like the pungency on the tongue as well, but there’s a bit too much lost in the malt department.
