3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rather disappointing - not much in the way of hops or rye. I was looking for a good dose of rye spiciness but didnít find it. More like a normal IPA than a Rye one. Glad I had purchased only a single bottle.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
November 2009. Not much of anything going on with this beer. Some weak malt aromas with caramel, but that is about it.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thin off-white head of fine bubbles. Light corn aroma with some spices and weak malts. Rather bland aroma. Color is a light golden brown. Some rye in the flavor along with dry malts and a bit of astringent bitterness. Finishes light bitterness and some spices. A rather bland and unimpressive brew bt will likely go over well with the masses.

A slight hint of rye and/or carraway seeds. Very faint hoppiness and not too impressive a flavor.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home, from Summer Variety Pack. Muted rye aroma. Piney hops profile, sticky mouth feel. Bitter, spicy, finish. Lacks oomph.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Another passable yet mediocre Saranac offering. Decent aroma of spicy hops. Average golden pour with a nice white head that leaves good lacing. Itís fairly light on the palate as it really isnít all that flavorful. Iím not getting much rye at all or even a traditional IPA hop taste. Itís more like a spicy ale. Ok.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very faint rye aroma, pours a clear amber with a quickly fading white head. Thereís more rye in the flavor then in the aroma, but thereís still not a lot. The best of the beer is in the finish, where thereís a nice blend of hop bitterness and rye spice. This is really a middle of the road beer, itís drinkable, but nothing special.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a bright gold with a gigantic foamy head. Couldnít really taste the rye but there was a defnite spiciness to it. Bitter. Not the best beer Iíve had, but not the worst either.

12 oz bottle pours amber with a off white head. Aroma and taste are floral and sweet malts.
