Bottle. Spicy orange malt. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange malt and moderate bitter herbal/quinine flavor. Light body. Didn’t get any rye out of this - disappointing.

355 ML bottle from The Beer Store in Montichello, NY. Pours a light orange and has a light white fast to go head. Aroma is light pine and floral. Taste is light pine and flowers and the palate is bitter pine. Ok I guess.

Pours clear, wet amber-gold with a small white head.
Scent is slight....fruit, citrus hops.
Taste is sharp, crisp citrus with a slight orange peel bitter.

Very tame, but comfortable.

Sampled on 8/26/2012. This IPA pours a light orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with some orange and a touch of spiciness. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. There is some orange and orange peel as well as a touch of rye spiciness. The hops are citrusy and slightly spicy. Decent carbonation. A decent balance between hops and malts, there is some lingering hops at the finish. Very drinkable. Decent session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Backlog purge. Bottle poured into pint glass -- gold with a white head. When they say "aggressively hopped" I wonder if they mean to say that the brewer was very surly as he dumped a minimal amount of hops into the kettle. Vague generic C-hop citrus notes atop a hollow pale malty base with no rye character to speak of.

Bottle from BevMo. Slightly spiced nose. Not a lot of hop present. Light rye flavor with a touch of dry hoppiness. Not bad, just fairly boring. A touch of hoppiness in the finish.

12oz bottle, from Summer Mix 12pk. Pours clear gold color, thin white head. Aroma of peppery spice. Simple flavors. Peppery tingle. Some pine hops. Very spicy finish. Not all that great, although the Rye character is dominate! (3393)

Pours a clear golden orange color with tangerine edges and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic spots of lacing left behind.
Slightly earthy aroma that’s kind of lacking in hops for an ipa. Subtle grassy character with a subtle grainy adjunct quality and sweet malt notes. Caramel, toffee, toast and nut but I’m not picking up much rye spiciness.
Medium bodied with a very dry, earthy/soily quality that provides a lot of unpleasant bitterness that lingers over the sicy rye and sweet malts into an overwhelming bone dry finish. Hop profile is one dimensional and rye is spicy without providing any interesting flavor. Underneath there’s some sweeter malt notes with hints of caramel, toffee and hazelnut but these are overpowered by dirty hops, grainy adjuncts and astringent alcohol.
