COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve created an easy to drink crisp, hoppy ale that is truly pale in color without sacrificing the hop character you expect in an IPA. To make a delicious "sessionable" beer, we selected citrusy centennial hops and an experimental variety from the Northwest U.S.. Look for this unique hop character balanced by the backgroudn nuttiness of Maris Otter malt. Not too filling, not overbearing-just laid back and drinkable!

Digging about in the cooler during Barry’s shindig yesterday, I fell across this. Yes, a nice session. But fairly lackluster in all aspects of direct from the bottle consumption. No discernible nose. Mouthfeel is meh. Watery and blah body eventually leads to a forgetable finish. Hops must have been in small quantity for they did little to impress. Consumed during all encompassing discussion of the Song of Ice and Fire 5 book series with Anne and Joy.

Pours small head, nice cloudy golden body. Aroma of some citrus, herbal and honey notes, taste is slightly sour with decent bitterness.

355 ml bottle from The Beer Store in Montichello, NY. Pours a cloudy gold color with a low white head. Aroma is floral hops and some spices, rather nice but the pleasure ends there. Taste is a weak malty, pinesol and floral with dry bitterness. No IPA fan here but this was below average.

Bottle. Orange juice and pine/orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Watery orange juice and lightly bitter pine/citrus peel flavor. Very light body. Bland and unexciting.

Matt sets out to make an easy drinking, low content IPA and, ouch, gets a 4 style score at RB. Soft floral aroma with some bread. It’s light enough you can actually smell the water. Light lager yellow. Weakly bitter taste, and even less malt. A well made lager has more presence than this. Very quaffable, but so is PBR. The lesson here is that rule number one for making a light IPA is: don’t.

Pours just slightly hazy, yellow-amber. Almost no head, just a skim of white foam.... Minimal scent, orange and florals. Taste is citrus, almost fruit- punchy with very little bitter. Possibly the least hoppy IPA I’ve ever had. The taste is pretty good, definitely sessionable.

Bottle. Pours translucent gold with white clingy head. Nose is pale malt, tropical fruity hops, and some florals. Tastes medium to light in palate density, not terribly complex, with hopcitrus, earthy pale malt, mild florals and peppery notes. Not as good as the white IPA, but I could drink 6 or 10 of these.

Bottle from BevMo. Very lightly hopped nose. Light and drinkable with a balanced malt hop attack. Both on the light side. Easy drinking on a hot summer day.

12oz bottle. Clear pale color, thin white head. Aroma of earth, nutty malt, some pine and citrus. Thin bodied. Easy to drink, Session Ale for sure. Tastes of pale malts, some sharp bitterness in the finish. More of an English Style IPA with American hops. (3392)
