We’ve created an easy to drink crisp, hoppy ale that is truly pale in color without sacrificing the hop character you expect in an IPA. To make a delicious "sessionable" beer, we selected citrusy centennial hops and an experimental variety from the Northwest U.S.. Look for this unique hop character balanced by the backgroudn nuttiness of Maris Otter malt. Not too filling, not overbearing-just laid back and drinkable!

Bottle. Pours translucent gold with white clingy head. Nose is pale malt, tropical fruity hops, and some florals. Tastes medium to light in palate density, not terribly complex, with hopcitrus, earthy pale malt, mild florals and peppery notes. Not as good as the white IPA, but I could drink 6 or 10 of these.

Bottle from BevMo. Very lightly hopped nose. Light and drinkable with a balanced malt hop attack. Both on the light side. Easy drinking on a hot summer day.

12oz bottle. Clear pale color, thin white head. Aroma of earth, nutty malt, some pine and citrus. Thin bodied. Easy to drink, Session Ale for sure. Tastes of pale malts, some sharp bitterness in the finish. More of an English Style IPA with American hops. (3392)

Bottle. Clear gold with a fluffy off white head. Grainy pale malty and floral, medium bitterness and low sweetness. Lighter earthy notes. Quite drinkable, but nothing memorable.

Actually has a decent hop aroma, but relatively bland taste. Not a lot to the body, light hop finish. Golden color, pretty average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had it in the summer pack. Very middle of the road. Light hops and then some malts to balance it out. Nothing too special, but very sessionable

341ml bottle picked up from a grocery store in Ogdensburg. Clear golden amber with a white head that fades relatively quickly. Bit of malt, light and somewhat wet hops. Moderate to high carbonation, mild body, malty and slightly sweet, becomes dry with a decent bitterness at the end. Up front not much to speak off with an ok ending.

Pours a pale golden orange color with a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Floral, resinous hop aroma with an earthy, grassy quality that’s countered by citrus fruit and pale malt. Some nice earthy pine needle followed by hints of grapefruit, pineapple and lemon peel. Faint biscuit and graham cracker malt. Decent balance of earthy and citrus hop notes. Medium bodied with a floral hop presence up front that provides some dry bitterness that lingers over the citrus fruit and pale malts into a dry, astringent finish. Some nice grassy and piney flavor that is quickly countered by subtle citrus rind and an odd metallic spice/yeast character. I’m not sure if it’s the yeast that they use but all of Saranac’s beers have an odd, off-putting taste that lingers in the finish. All of the citrus notes from the nose are completely muted and it results in a beer that has some decent hop flavor that is killed off mid-palate.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bitter herbal hops and toasted malts. The taste is bitter herbal hops, faint apple and not much else. Thin-medium bodied. Meh.
