2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2009
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a straw yellow color with a large white head that faded quickly. The aroma was light citrus with not a whole lot else going on. The flavor was tart lemon and sugar and really lacking in depth. Short tart, citrus finish. Medium body. Ok

Sweet and tasty - basically the German idea of beer and lemonade together. But Saranac pulls this one off well. Thumbs up! Very drinkable.

Bottle. 12 oz. Pours piss yellow, with no head. Aroma of lemon, hops, and wheat. Zero body with a terrible, bitter finish. Awful fruit beer.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 29, 2009
Experienced from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. The beer pours a bright and relatively clear yellow with a small white head. The initial nose does give some relatively subtle hint of lemonade, but still retains some "beer-like" characteristics, showing some grainy notes. The palate seems to trend back more toward being a beer, being very lightly malty, with a bit of lemon essence flavor near the mid-palate to finish. The carbonation level is a bit high, perhaps in an attempt to bring out the character of the lemon more. Overall, not really a great or even that good of a beer, but not terrible, either.

Pours clear, very light gold with a medium white head. Head is mostly diminishing and leaves thin, sticky lacing. Aroma of lemondrops, vanilla cookie, and something slightly herbal giving an overall lemongrass feel. Weirdly sweet lemon flavor, definitely reminiscent of lemondrops, with loads of cane sugar. Cloyingly sweet, far too much for my tastes - it was seriously hard to choke this down. When even my wife refuses to drink it, that should tell you something.

12oz bottle. Pours clear yellow like a pale lager. Aroma of lemon Italian Ice. Distant malt. Very sweet. Lots of lemon drop flavor. Overall, it tastes like a melted Italian Ice with a bit of fizz. Pretty much what I expected. I would rather make my own Radler.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, fizzy, damp straw color with a thing white head. Lemon aroma with along with some grass. Tastes like bad skippy. Too sweet, too much bad lemon taste and not enough other flavor. No wonder a six pack was only 2.50.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 blankboy (5152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 25, 2009
Bottle [12oz]. Pours a clear, very pale yellow with a diminishing white head. Mild aroma, a bit vegetal, along with lemon juice and sugar. Flavour: What th’?! Tastes like a watery Shandy. Light bodied. Bleh, there’s not much else worth writing.

Bottle. Haha its a lemonade lager what an idea. Crisp golden body with a short lived white head. Lemonade and sweeter sugar with a hint of malt and corn. Decent overall for what it is.

Pours pale yellow with an almost non existant fizzy white head. Aroma is lemon, cinamon, pepper and some mineral notes. Flavor is lemon, honey, spice, ginger, corn, and a mild grainy malt, very sweet. Palate is medium bodied, syrupy and highly carbonated. This stuff really tastes alot like ginger ale, more specifically ginger ale mixed with lemon juice, sugar and cheap lager. Really doesn’t do it for me.
