COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac White IPA is a tasty innovative twist on a traditional IPA. We’ve taken a delicious American IPA bursting with Citra hops, and given it a whole new direction by adding the refreshing fruitiness of orange peel & coriander and the softening characters of wheat malt and oats. You’ll notice the complex hop flavor you’ve come to expect in an IPA, balanced with the extraordinary bright flavor of a wheat beer. Cheers to twisting tradition!

12oz. bottle poured into a glass Appearance: Golden yellowish-orange, Cloudy (its unfiltered) with just about a 2 finger white head. Leaves good lacing. Smell: You get the citrus hops, lemon, orange peel, spices, and some wheat. Taste: More of the orange in the flavor, then a bit of wheat, with the citrus hops to finish. A bit sweet up front with a bitter finish. The spices help dull out the hop bite makes for a fairly refreshing flavor I truly was surprised. Mouthfeel: fairly smooth Medium body with Medium carbonation. Citrus flavors linger in the finish. Overall: Very good beer. I enjoyed it way more than I thought. Its nice to be surprised in a good way. Perfect for Spring/Summer!

Good beer, not very heavy for an IPA which is surprising. Good with pizza. Would definitely buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy straw colored beer with a thick foamy white head. Nice citrus nose with burnt orange, coriander, and lemon pith. Flavor is pretty much what you’d expect for a WIT with a bracing citrus hoppiness followed by a bit of spice with a crisp, dry finish. Decent beer for the style, but not one that differentiates itself.

16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a dim, clouded, golden-orange body with a half-inch of white head. Good lacing.

Smell: Pithy lemon overneath scantly bready wheatiness, low resins, low spices. A bit of a modest aroma overall.

Taste: Soft white wheat, a slight graininess and a nibble of brioche. Lightly sweet. Resins, lemon and a pithy quality. Small pinch of spice. Medium bitterness. Drying, pith-rimmed finish with a hint of lemon juice moistened bread. Some bitterness lingering.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It’s okay, like many Saranac beers (the better ones at least) it just falls a bit short.

Didnt like this rather experimental brew from Saranac. Lots of spices and citrics in the aroma. Coriander being the most predominant. Some dough in the taste but overly sweet and wheaty for the rest. Corny, earthy palate. Med bodied and very frizzy. Small white head.

Birra di frumento. Torbida. Lieve profumo di luppolo e grano. Medio bassa la carbonazione. Dolce al palato. Corpo leggero. Retro gusto leggermente amaro ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazey gold. Smells of wheat , hops and orange peel . Flavor is more leaning towards the citrus side with a touch of hops. This would be a fine summer brew. It’s early spring with 70s in VA, and I find this beer delightful. Cheers!

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2014 Bottle into pint glass at Bonefish Grill. Cloudy orang’ish-yellow color with white head. Aroma of wheat, bread, slight spices and some citrus notes. Taste brings out more IPA fruity hop bitterness, coriander and slight pepper. Light body, moderate carbonation, creamy, soft, crisp with dry crisp finish. Pretty much a wheat beer with spices and more hops. Interesting and easy drinking.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a slight citrus aroma. Taste is mildly bitter mixed with diluted spices. The citrus hops mixed with the spic gives this beer an odd taste. There is a small bitter aftertaste after the swallow, but overall its a refreshing beer.
