Bottle (in Sept 2012) - Cloudy Orangey gold in colour. Sedimented; wheat. Fruity; orange citrus and some grapefruit. Spicy. Malty; wheaty and bready malts. Hoppy; resiny hops. Sweet wheaty malts and fruit balanced by hop bitterness. Refreshing. Interesting beer. Witbier meets IPA. Decent.

Pours a hazey gold. Smells of wheat , hops and orange peel . Flavor is more leaning towards the citrus side with a touch of hops. This would be a fine summer brew. It’s early spring with 70s in VA, and I find this beer delightful. Cheers!

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2014 Bottle into pint glass at Bonefish Grill. Cloudy orang’ish-yellow color with white head. Aroma of wheat, bread, slight spices and some citrus notes. Taste brings out more IPA fruity hop bitterness, coriander and slight pepper. Light body, moderate carbonation, creamy, soft, crisp with dry crisp finish. Pretty much a wheat beer with spices and more hops. Interesting and easy drinking.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz. bottle poured into a glass
Appearance: Golden yellowish-orange, Cloudy (its unfiltered) with just about a 2 finger white head. Leaves good lacing.
Smell: You get the citrus hops, lemon, orange peel, spices, and some wheat.
Taste: More of the orange in the flavor, then a bit of wheat, with the citrus hops to finish. A bit sweet up front with a bitter finish. The spices help dull out the hop bite makes for a fairly refreshing flavor I truly was surprised.
Mouthfeel: fairly smooth Medium body with Medium carbonation. Citrus flavors linger in the finish.
Overall: Very good beer. I enjoyed it way more than I thought. Its nice to be surprised in a good way. Perfect for Spring/Summer!

Poured a golden stray hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of white head. Very good uneven lacing on the sides. Great retention on the top of the glass.
Smelled floral hops, caramel malts, Belgian spices, citrus hops, lime and slight pine.
Tasted floral hops, citrus hops, lime, pine, caramel, tropical notes, Belgian spices and Mountain Dew.
Light body. Oily texture. Above average carbonation. Long, citrus finish.
A very nice IPA. I really liked this one.

Good beer, not very heavy for an IPA which is surprising. Good with pizza.
Would definitely buy again.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a slight citrus aroma. Taste is mildly bitter mixed with diluted spices. The citrus hops mixed with the spic gives this beer an odd taste. There is a small bitter aftertaste after the swallow, but overall its a refreshing beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a dim, clouded, golden-orange body with a half-inch of white head. Good lacing.
Smell: Pithy lemon overneath scantly bready wheatiness, low resins, low spices. A bit of a modest aroma overall.
Taste: Soft white wheat, a slight graininess and a nibble of brioche. Lightly sweet. Resins, lemon and a pithy quality. Small pinch of spice. Medium bitterness. Drying, pith-rimmed finish with a hint of lemon juice moistened bread. Some bitterness lingering.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It’s okay, like many Saranac beers (the better ones at least) it just falls a bit short.
