COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac White IPA is a tasty innovative twist on a traditional IPA. We’ve taken a delicious American IPA bursting with Citra hops, and given it a whole new direction by adding the refreshing fruitiness of orange peel & coriander and the softening characters of wheat malt and oats. You’ll notice the complex hop flavor you’ve come to expect in an IPA, balanced with the extraordinary bright flavor of a wheat beer. Cheers to twisting tradition!

Pours a murky orange. Smells hoppy. Starts out citrus/ lemon in flavor and ends hoppy.

Love this beer. One of my top five. Very hoppy but has unique flavor to it. Best on tap or at least pour into a glass if you get the bottles. Hints or orange and coriander, with a refreshing zing. Leaves a decent lace, and basically smells like no other beer, almost piney. Saranac continues to impress me with their brewing ability. Tired of people saying it’s bitter, it’s an IPA you’re supposed to taste the hops. If you can’t handle this one, then I probably don’t trust your opinion about beer anyway.

Bottle... Poured cloudy pale yellow with a lacy white head. Nose had floral hop notes with wheated malt notes and citrus notes. Bitter orange skin with vanilla, wheat, and a hoppy bitteness. Floral, earthy, spicy hops. Not terrible which is what I was expecting.

Pours a hazy amber. Smells of clove, flowers, herbs. Taste is sweet and mildly bitter, a pleasant combination of wheat and hops - floral, clove, banana.

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy dark golden color with a small head. Definitely some citrus and spices in the nose, along with some slight hoppiness. Taste has a bit of bitterness in there, but the spices make it feel a little cloudy.

Bottle from CBB. Orange-golden, cloudy, tall fine head. Very fruity, citrus nose with some spice. Sweet orange, lemon, Citra, coriander, wheat. Smooth and nice fruit. Orange peel and spice take over in the mouth. Tastes way too juice-like. Malts are kind of cardboard, finish very bitter, even astringent. Starts off decently but it is a bit rough. Still, smooth and decent even though the additives seem overdone.
