Saranac White IPA is a tasty innovative twist on a traditional IPA. Weíve taken a delicious American IPA bursting with Citra hops, and given it a whole new direction by adding the refreshing fruitiness of orange peel & coriander and the softening characters of wheat malt and oats. Youíll notice the complex hop flavor youíve come to expect in an IPA, balanced with the extraordinary bright flavor of a wheat beer. Cheers to twisting tradition!

White one-finger head. Cloudy off-amber body. Aroma is sweet wheat with a touch of citrus and an abundant scent banana. Like the scent, banana is the focal taste. I'm picking up slight bitterness. The palate is also bitter banana. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mainly citrus aroma, has banana and hop scents that work to neutralize each other. Opaque yellow color, looks like a hefe. Taste is very bitter orange followed by a wheat malt finish, though at this stage the initial bitterness is still lingering, resulting in two very different but simultaneous feels and flavors. Itís also very dry. Reminds me of a mimosa with something hard and cheap subbing in as the alcohol. Interesting in technical sense; I would not seek this out again.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a 2 finger frothy white head. Bready, citrus aroma with just a whiff of hop. Flavor is orange peel and bread. Very much like a dozen other white beers. Fairly thin palate with a good amount of carbonation.

12 oz bottle: Pours hazy yellow, cloudy with a thick white head. Aroma of coriander, wheat, sour dough. Taste of belgian yeast, coriander, wheat and some light citrus hops. Shocking and bitter on the palate, not really fun or easy to drink for me. Decent if you like wheat and or belgian yeast. Not my bag.

Draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap, Allston, MA. Real hazy, dirty gold. Thin white head of lace. Aroma is wheat and grapefruit. Flavor starts with a light-medium amount of piney bitterness. Then I get orange peel and dare I say itÖ. Yes, Coriander seed. Damn it! Iím really burned out on coriander seeds in my beer. Itís not a terrible brew, no major problems here. Iím just so tired of coriander seeds. Anyhow, This could be a nice option to introduce craft beer to a friend or family member. Not many hard core beer geeks will be excited for this. I wasnít and I really used to love Belgian White brews.

Pours a murky orange. Smells hoppy. Starts out citrus/ lemon in flavor and ends hoppy.
