COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac White IPA is a tasty innovative twist on a traditional IPA. We’ve taken a delicious American IPA bursting with Citra hops, and given it a whole new direction by adding the refreshing fruitiness of orange peel & coriander and the softening characters of wheat malt and oats. You’ll notice the complex hop flavor you’ve come to expect in an IPA, balanced with the extraordinary bright flavor of a wheat beer. Cheers to twisting tradition!

Appearance: Looks like an unfiltered wheat beer (white in belgian terms). Hazy yellow color with a 1.5 inch head and high carbonization. Smell: Very piney hoppy smell. I was a little put off by it at first. Taste: Very nice, the drinkability of a wheat with the hop bite of citra hops. At 6.0% abv you could have a few in one sitting. Mouthfeel: Light which to me results in high drinkability. Overall: Very good. This is brewed about 2.5hours from me in NYS and is priced right around $7.99 per 6 pack.

nothing distinctive except compared to what the Chinese make it was a brief oasis. 5,000 years of civilisation (their estimates) and they know nothing of beer. This IPA was mildly hoppy, clean and held a nice nose even after the Chinese government and the freight forwarders did everything wrong--deliberately--to ruin it. Some beer gets through the gauntlet unscathed. light palate, mild aroma, clear appearance, medium taste, very rounded, a very nice drop--al things considered.

Hazy yellow, tons of bubbles, with a one-finger foamy white head and ok lacing. Aromas of citrus hops with gentle pale malt and spices. Flavors are similar, with the pale malt making a more substantial contribution, followed quickly by a moderate bitterness that pokes through, accompanied by a light spiciness. Light body, tons of carbonation, prickly mouthfeel and a crisp finish.

I was told it is a wheat IPA. What is that? I asked myself. It is really weird to have an IPA appearing a whit haze body in the glass. Anyway, an interesting beer.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass and a mug and wasn’t much difference. The appearance was basically a light hazy white to yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sticking finely to the glass. The smell had some oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and tangerines woven in between some light spicy hops. The taste was mainly sweet and still had a nice spicy connotation to it. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp and crisp as I liked how it carried itself against my mouth and tongue. Overall, I say this was what FX Matt/Saranac wanted to do and I think they did exactly what they wanted to do. I’d have this again.

Profumo fresco e fruttato, si distinguono nettamente tutte le caratteristiche del luppolo. Resta profumata anche in bocca e dissetante. I 6 gradi alcolici non di avvertono.
