5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Love this beer. One of my top five.
Very hoppy but has unique flavor to it. Best on tap or at least pour into a glass if you get the bottles. Hints or orange and coriander, with a refreshing zing. Leaves a decent lace, and basically smells like no other beer, almost piney. Saranac continues to impress me with their brewing ability.
Tired of people saying itís bitter, itís an IPA youíre supposed to taste the hops. If you canít handle this one, then I probably donít trust your opinion about beer anyway.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Looks like an unfiltered wheat beer (white in belgian terms). Hazy yellow color with a 1.5 inch head and high carbonization.
Smell: Very piney hoppy smell. I was a little put off by it at first.
Taste: Very nice, the drinkability of a wheat with the hop bite of citra hops. At 6.0% abv you could have a few in one sitting.
Mouthfeel: Light which to me results in high drinkability.
Overall: Very good. This is brewed about 2.5hours from me in NYS and is priced right around $7.99 per 6 pack.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Has a cloudy whiteish/golden color. Smell is alive with hops and citrus. Taste is also hoppy, citrus, some spice, very flavorful. Overall a quality beer worth seeking out.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy gold with thin white head. I would describe it as a summer ipa, mixing the hoppiness of an ipa with nice citrus notes.

Fresh hops first. Smooth finish hint of citrus. Cloudy, yet homogeneous appearance. One of my favorite white ales!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Saranac White IPA is a very cloudy, dull golden ale with a frothy, bubbly white head that has excellent retention and lacing. It has a very citrusy aroma, like grapefruit and orange peel. It has a very smooth medium light body; fluffy in the mouth with a dry finish. It tastes citrusy throughout. Thereís lots of wheat in the middle of the taste and then resiny hop flavor takes over. Orange peel seems to be ever present and brings everything together. It finishes like an IPA but the aftertaste has a little wheat and something doughy in it. This is a very clever beer. An IPA and a Wit work together very well.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle. thick, cloudy UT infection gold with a large, fluffy, white head. nose of peach and apricot. the beer tastes of peaches with a spicy, coriander finishing kick. the mixture of styles is a great idea. this makes much more sense than black ipaís... it gives the flavors a chance to compliment each other.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle as a gift from my neighbor Michelle. Very nice citrus flavors abound nestled with plenty of freshness. Really impressive effort from Saranac.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle, bottled on December 7th, 2011 (julian date stamped on label). Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a cloudy gold color with about an inch frothy white head. Head retention is good, and thereís a lot of lacing left behind on the glass. Aroma is mostly hoppy, it smells mainly like citrusy hops (grapefruit, lemon and orange peel), along with some coriander and bready/wheat malt. The taste is similar to the aroma, but the hoppy and malty flavors are pretty even and none of them are much stronger than the others. Itís a nice mix between a witbier and an IPA. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís refreshing and a bit creamy with good carbonation. At just $7.99 a 6-pack, Iíd buy this again for sure. Itís a great deal for the price, I canít think of many beers this good for that low of a price.
