This unique pilsener features Belma hops, found growing wild on a hop farm in Washington State, for a clean, tropical taste. Pair it with marinated pork tenderloin, chicken wings, prosciutto, bacon and chèvre or Havarti cheeses.

12oz can from Saranac sampler 12pk. Not a bad beer. Clean and refreshing with a slight hoppy finish to it.

Clear golden pour with good white head. Slight noble hop aroma and more so in the flavor but very smooth and butter. Hints of honey and lilac. Floral with a decided woody hop tannin lingering bite. I’d take the victory Prima Pils over this, but still, quite drinkable in its own right..

Bottle from shelf. Pours a filtered clear light gold. Aromas of some tropical fruit. Taste is semi sweet and lightly bitter. Flavors of citrus fruit along with some skunk. Not terrible, not great, but very above average for saranac.

look: 4.25 smell: 4.25 taste: 4 feel: 4 overall: 4 Pours a true gold with pristine clarity. A flourish of bubbles that settles to a steady wafting of pilsner bubbles to the top. Lush and beautiful head of off white foam. This beer is a beauty in the glass. The nose is lovely clean lightly sweet grain. It has a mysterious lightly fruity scent. It’s some kind of berries. Maybe blackberry. For a beer tht has the hops in the name you would think it would be very hop forward but no. This is all authentic pils style scents except for that exciting bit of exotic fruit. Little bit of grass in the background. Drinks like a dream. A nice lightly grainy malt that’s dry and crisp. Perfect carbonation and that fruit! So subtle so tantalizing. This beer is crisp clean and refreshing and finishes with a bit of herbal grass and just a mild little hint of hop bitter. Love it! I could not wait to buy this beer again this year.

Tap. Pours a clear gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is lightly hoppy with a nice tropical fruit hop quality over a clean bready pils malt base. The hops taste fairly tropical as well with some nice mango and passion fruit notes. The malt base is rather clean and more crisp than I’m used to expecting from the average Saranac beer. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering lightly bitter finish. Definitely more about the hop flavor than the bitterness in this one. Pretty decent Pils, better than expected.

Bottle poured a golden in color with a thin coating of white head. Aroma has pilsner malt, mild tropics, flowery, and clean. Mouth feel is medium light and the carbonation high. Flavor has the core of a pilsner, nice light hops, and is very clean. It tries to be crisp but there is still a bit of sweetness under the mild bitter finish.
