Kind of a misguided approach to a hoppier pilsner. Really cold, it’d drink fine if you want a slightly bitter pilsner. But then, I’m just not a huge fan of these types of beers. It pales in comparison to Saranac’s Pale Ale and White IPA, both of which are quite pleasant.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. This bottle was marked down dramatically, so it has probably seen too much shelf time. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a fine near-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of pungent fruit, grass, citrus, pale malt and green apples. Taste of hay, grain, lemon, floral hops, light fruit and mustiness. Light/medium body and high carbonization. This probably was better when it was fresher. It comes across as a very hoppy pilsner. However, I'm not sure that is a desirable style. In this particular case, the hop flavors den a bit strange. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clean lager aroma with some grassy notes. Very slightly hazy medium yellow color with a small foamy white head. Good biscuit malt flavor and a drying slightly astringent hop bitterness. Very light lemon/citrus taste in the background. Overall fairly light in body and flavor (which is appropriate), but quite enjoyable and very refreshing.

Interesting aroma. Palate is okay. Flavor is pretty lacking. Interesting . Sure, the hops taste a bit different. Meh

Bottle. Clear golden color with a really nice head. Aroma was light with good balance but leaning to the hoppy side. Taste is also nice and balanced with the citrusy hops finish.

Transfer from BA review on 8-29-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a big beautiful foamy white head. Big bubbles pop in the head causing it to fade slowly over time with it eventually fading over about a three minute time period to leave some streaks of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is mainly of a biscuit and a toasted grainy malt smell. Mixed with these aromas are a bit of herbal smells and some floral notes. Taste – The taste is much as would have been anticipated from the nose. The taste starts out with a toasted grain taste that is mixed with a little bit of a biscuit taste as well as some sweeter flavors of a honey and citrus flavor. Upfront there is also a bit of a grapefruit hop bringing just a small bite of bitter. The sweeter flavors dwindle as the taste moves on, with some floral and herbal hop flavors developing more toward the end. At the completion of the taste the combination of flavors leaves a rather pleasant, crisp, and moderately bitter taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium to slightly thinner side with a carbonation that is average to slightly above average. The feel of the beer is very appropriate for the style and matches well the crisp finish and moderate hop flavors of the brew. Overall – The rather crisp and refreshing brew that is fantastic for a nice warm day. A very tasty summer day brew.

From a bottle. Pours almost clear amber gold with a bubbly off white head. Tastes like sweet cookie malt, musky straw, and salty grass. Light body and low carbonation. Faint aroma of straw, musk, grass, dough.
