This unique pilsener features Belma hops, found growing wild on a hop farm in Washington State, for a clean, tropical taste. Pair it with marinated pork tenderloin, chicken wings, prosciutto, bacon and chèvre or Havarti cheeses.

On tap at Half Time for growler fills. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Smells of grain with a little bit of hops but mostly just sweet caramel. Medium bodied sweet and grainy, little bit of lemon. .Kind of empty cardboard and paper tastes with more malt and wheat and grain. Finish is slightly better with a little bit of grain lingering not much hop presence.

Bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head. Grainy, almost bready malty base, with some light fresh spicy and grassy hops, and a little bit of a tingly mouthfeel. Super drinkable.

Draft at pony with Tom and David. Pours a hazy golden. No head, minor lacing. Aroma is pils, cat pee and grass. Mouthfeel is light to medium with notes of grass, spice, yeast - much more yeast character and light fruit.

Orangey yellow, big white head. Smells very grassy, with bready notes. Taste is clean, crisp, with some grassy, a touch of aspirin. Might be benefiting from lowered expectations, but not horrible...

Tap. Pours a clear gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is lightly hoppy with a nice tropical fruit hop quality over a clean bready pils malt base. The hops taste fairly tropical as well with some nice mango and passion fruit notes. The malt base is rather clean and more crisp than I’m used to expecting from the average Saranac beer. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering lightly bitter finish. Definitely more about the hop flavor than the bitterness in this one. Pretty decent Pils, better than expected.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4895) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a clear yellow color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was crisp, fruity, citric and almost perfumey hops with an undertone of sweet honey. The flavor was malty honey, ab it of bread a bit sour, faintly citric and perfumey. Medium finish and medium body. Ok.
