2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma isn’t much its got a touch of caramel malt and grassy hops to go along with yeast, dust, and metal. The appearance is amber with with a nice foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a drinkable but not very likable beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Pours a reddish amber, with a thin off-white head. Pretty obvious caramel/toffee on the nose. A little floral. Taste is slightly sweet with caramel, toasty malt, wood (pencil shavings?), with a bitter finish.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear orangish body with a small fizzy off-white head. The nose is fairly light with some graininess and a minimal touch of hops. The flavor is overly sweet and pretty boring, even for Saranac. Kinda reminds me of malta a little bit. Well lagered though, there’s no off flavors here, it’s just too sweet and boring. Medium bodied and a little clingy with light fizzy forced carbonation. Not one of my favorites from them.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours amber brown with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is pretty hoppy, floral and grassy, with a decent bready malt backing it up. The flavor is quite a bit more subdued, however, bringing in a disappointing wateryness. There is some hops in the taste again, and the same general maltiness, but it’s all washed out. The palate, too, is thin and watery, and there is virtually no finish. It starts out looking ok, and even smells ok, but falls flat when you take the first drink.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. bottle from a mixed pack from A-1 Liquor in Indianapolis. Pours a semi-cloudy brown amber color with an active off-white head. Notes of caramel malts, nuts, brown sugar, earthy hops, and wet leaves. Light bodied, with average carbonation and a mouthfeel that would be sweet and nutty if not for the fact that it’s too watered down. Why hold it back? There’s a better beer here somewhere.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale nutty brown body with a thin dissipating white head. Weak nutty aroma with some yeasty and skunky notes. Flavor is very similar to aroma with some decent roasted malty notes. Pretty bland. Thin body. For a winter lager I would like some spice and more robust flavors.
