3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma of fruit, malts, cinnamon. Appearance is an attractive red brown, off-white head. The flavor is cinnamon, allspice, malts, citrus. The finish is light hop bittering, and a mix of spices. Thin/Medium mouthfeel. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance is a dark cherry red. Shallow white head. Clear but with a deep red tint. See through. Looks watery.
Spicy, almost like peppermint or ginger. Cinnamon and nutmeg within the context of a winter ale. Spices overshadow sweetness of the winter ale.
The cherry winter ale sweetness is nicely balanced by all those sweet candy spices. Cinnamon comes out a lot in the flavor and sits atop the tongue like a sprinkling. A real winter warmer.
Fizzy but thick and smooth. Bubbly like a saison but not harsh. Pleasantly nice. Nicely balanced between berry/cherry sweet and spicy. A nice winter sipper.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Cinnamon and nutmeg with a hint of orange peal. Thin with a heavily spiced body. Almost anise with how bittering it finishes.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cinnamon and spice aroma and flavor, but it was just too watery to be very enjoyable. Not a bad beer, but there are so many winter seasonals that are better. LC

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thanks Crushinator for sharing. A winter warmer, or a vegetable beer, I think the latter. Spicey. Advertises the spice, they are faint of cinammon, nutmeg, orange and allspice. Above-average carbonation, a bit of yeast, sourish finish. Lacey and a head. A marginal passable beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours amber with minimal head. Smells of sour and sweet fruits and malts. Tastes like sweet fruits, sugar, and mild spices. Very little as far as hops goes. But not a bad alternative winter brew.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Like most Saranac beers i’ve tried, the initial taste is very OK, but what comes in behind it, and each subsiquent sip, is quite disappointing.... This is like the red headed stepchilds cousin twice removed from anderson valley’s winter solstice. I love that beer, this, not so much...

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Two Saranac beers in the same day, I am a glutton for mediocrity. This beer is a reddish-amber color with a medium with a very thin off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices and caramel apple. Light body with a subtle spice and malt character and flavors of mild apple and hops. The finish is lightly spiced with a short malty finish. Barely average overall.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Amber colored beer. Aroma very strong of spices. Terribly balanced: very forward flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice that were not balanced by any other flavors. Little malt or hop in the flavor, which contributed to this beer tasting like a spiced winter dessert done with little craft. Sorry for the rant, but this beer was hard to stomach.
