1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
From the bottle at the Cider Summit. Pours a hazed gold with shit floating in it. Hit is band-aids, brett & acetone. Sharp and unrefined. No finesse. The brett is funky and almost redeems it, except that it also happens to be the source of all the bad parts. Unruly and unpleasant. Oh, and it is still. Sharp acidity that make it weird. The still bit is just wrong. It might be palatable with some carbonation, but not like this. awful.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Worst cider I ever had hands down. I could make this garbage by leaving a mott’s apple juice box out in the sun for a couple days. Blaaaah.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazy to cloudy golden yellow color with floaties. Aroma of sour apple, leom, subtle strawberry and rhubarb. Taste starts with sweet apple tarts then softly sour apple skins and subtle citrus. Very tasty.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Awful stuff! The aroma is sweet, sour, and funky with apples and chemicals. The appearance is golden and still with lots of clumps and no head just a few bubbles. The taste is like the aroma being harsh and off. The palate is watery. Overall a complete drain pour if there ever was one. Yuck!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
27/11 0.75 l bottle from a small grocery store near Abando, Bilbao. It poured hazy yellow body with big head, and I did pour it from maybe half recommended height of crazy 1 meter! Aroma was also strong enough, very funky, apple, citrus, some cork and touch of leather. Flavor was typically sour with not only apples but also nice yeast notes, some sweet honey things and paper towards the end. Medium bodied, tasty, with long tart, astringent finish. Fresh sour apples all the way through, pleasant and refreshing cider, while it had lot of complexity and flavor, comparable to very sour lambics with more apples. Almost didn’t bought it as the label looked too cheesy. What an error would it be!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle courtesy of beastiefan2k. I have only had one other Basque Cider, excited to try this. The pour is chill haze golden yellow, with no head. The aroma is fresh tart apple, along with a soft Brett leathery yeast. Behind the apple and funk is a sweetness, honey, though a bit more sugary than that. The taste is the fresh apple, along with the tart funky yeast of the nose. The sweetness is very much present as well, giving the overall taste a funky sweet apple pie sort of character. The palate is medium bodied, along with a very small amount of soft natural carbonation, sweet tart funky apple finish. There is a hint of plastic in the finish. Overall, a very interesting and tasty Cider. Thanks for sharing this one Eugene.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The bottle had some age and the yeast had settled but it still poured a cloudy golden yellow. The nose is a yeasty tart, much like a gueze and the flavor is similar but the apples really stand out. It finishes crisp and very dry. This is an awesome beverage.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from the Cheese Shop of Des Moines
Pours a nice hazy yellow color, basically still with a few bubbles if roused.
The aroma is funky, but more lemony with some pungent citrus rind and wet limestone.
The flavor is a little bit salty, very tart with some strawberry like acidity and some nice lemony character. Obviously it tastes of apples, but this one is particularly rustic.

Apple, grassy, light airplane glue nose. Hazy amber. Sour apple, plum skins flavor. Tart and lightly funky. Very well made, delicious.
