Draft at brewpub. Black color with a medium off-white head. Heavy roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Full roasted malt and chocolate flavor with a medium finish. Good sweet stout.

My only WaZoo Rating! You can’t leave a festival without scrutinizing at least one beer, right! This was the second time that Sarasota has brewed this beer. I believe this is a better batch than the one I sampled around the beginning of 2005.
Boldly opaque black body. The aroma is somewhat sweet, with the lactose showing a bit in the aroma and the beers finish. The roasted chocolate malts are not chary or smoky but nicely rounded into the beer with a slight hint of woodsy hops in the finish. The finish was never too bitter nor sweet…. Probably the best beer that I have yet had from Sarasota… but I can still taste the breweries ongoing house flavor.

Draft at Wazoo Beer Tasting event in Tampa. I kept going back for this because it was the only stout on draft. Strong roasty aroma with mild coffee notes. Dark black with a minimal head. Flavor is roasty as well. Not overly sweet at all. Well balanced with a baker’s chocalate bitterness. A very serviceable stout that is fun to drink.

On tap at the brew pub. Poured a dark brown with a small off white head. Aromas and tastes of roasted malts and chocolate. Sweet. Not a bad beer.
