Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 22, 2009 Light gold. Honeyish nose. Sweet, bland, with some fruit and some faults - dirty yeast thing I think. Overall, drinkable but between the blandness and faults just barely. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Feb 20, 2009 At brewpub. Pure gold and clear with no lacing. Light floral aroma is more honeysuckle than honey, and a little fruity too. Low carbonation. Not bad for a honey ale, has a nice alcohol punch at the end that dries it out and has a nice sweet graham and honeyed body. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Dec 10, 2006 on tap-pours a quickly diminishing white head and yellow color. Aroma is mild sweet. Taste is mild sweet-caramel, some flatness from hops. OK/mild carbonation. Tmoney99 (4661), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 26, 2005 Draft at brewpub. Pours a dark amber with a medium white head that diminished quickly. Large sweet citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Good complex sweet flavor with a short finish. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA Nov 25, 2005 Sweet floral aroma. Headless and golden/orange in color. Honey, ripe fruit and a lot of malt. Gets cloying after a while. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA Aug 22, 2004 Light amber color, thin white head. Sweeter malt aroma, not much honey. Flavor starts out as honey, first sip finished highly alcoholic and tasted like rum. As I kept drinking the alcohol mellowed and I got some hops toward the end, still a bit of alcohol though. Medium bodied. Kind of odd, but not too bad. unclebleen (620), California, USA Jun 8, 2004 This pours a gold color with a medium white head. Lacing is moderate. Aroma is malty but I can’t really detect honey, per se. I can definetely detect some honey notes in the flavor along with a mild hop bitterness. Body is medium and the finish is medium as well. An interesting beer. jeffc666 (1886), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Oct 25, 2003 Pal amber with a very nice white head that leaves excellent lacing. Aroma is honey with some mild hoppiness. Flavor is honey with some malty sweetness and abit of hop bitterness. Honey dominates. Smooth medium body.
