Malt and hop aroma. Hazy amber with very little head. Some sweetness, malt, caramel and bitterness flavor. Nice beer

Tap at Bailey’s Taproom, PDX, 26/05/13. Hazed dark amber with a thin off white head which clears to the edge and leaves a thin film. Nose is caramel malt forward, bitter tropical notes, faintest of hop aromas due to malt domination. Taste comprises a big malt hit, caramel, bitter grapefruit, sugars, booze. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, warming booze in the finish. A sub par example of the style, all malt and booze.

On tap at the brewpub. Bitterness throughout with a big malty background. Balance is a bit off. Solid IPA finish.

Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. On Tap at the brewery. Light Hops flavor rich and thick malt. This was a malt bomb. Big beer needed more hops.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber color with a small white head. The aroma is big green and fresh hops, light tangerine. The is a big IBU beer and is bitter throughout, again green hops, almost metallic big bitterness. This is decent, but it really lacks balance. More late boil additions would help and some balance from the malt. Just comes across as almost all bitterness.
