330ml bottle from 16th St.Liquor in West Vancouver. Pours a rich golden hue with a lasting frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of white pepper, clove, lemongrass, bready malts, grassy hops, a touch of yeast, and phenolic. The taste starts with a crisp dose of bitters and citric fruit but is quickly vanished by replaced by light pale malt and yeast character with a heavy amount of supporting alcohol. Biting and sharp but seems overcarbonated, no masking the ABV here. Okay but no where near the quality of the better Belgian Strong Golden Ales out there or for that matter, Satan Red.

12-oz bottle Marcello’s Lafayette, LA - Aroma: sweet (malt), nutty, fruity esters of green apples, lemon (yeast); Appearance: hazy, golden-yellow color, white head, some laces; Flavor: bready, sweet, salty (malt), sour, nutty, fruity esters of apple and lemon (yeast); Mouthfeel: medium bodied, oily-sticky texture, lively-moderate to high carbonation; Overall: a nice fruity ester aromatics well balanced, juicy fruit tasting beer with some complexity (malt and yeast) and refreshing slight tangy finish.

slightly cloudy yellow, small whte head. boozy flowery spicy , yellow fruity aroma, flavor is citrussy, flowery, faint yellow fruity, boozy, ends flowery bitter and spicy.

33 cl bottle.Pours light golden with a 2 " frothy white head. Weak malty aroma with some honey in the background.Moderate sweet taste, almonds and spices towards the end. Watery mouthfeel.

Cloudy yellow gold, tons of white cap, pretty good lacing as well and it foamed like crazy. The aroma is nothing all that interesting: yeast, biscuit, weak faceless citrus, light spice and quite fresh. Flavours of spice come in like a big wave and then it’s gone. This happens time and time again. Dull early, very tangy finish with dull yeast and white pepper. Soft carbonation, medium bodied even though the mouth feels seems thicker. Never once did I notice the alcohol. Quite drinkable mainly due to the fact that it is plain.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a darker clear glowing gold with a small very thin fizzy white head 2.5. Aroma is boozy, fruity, cider, doughy, and very sweet 5.5. Flavor is thin, sweet bready, very sweet, would cloying if the body and flavor didn’t seem so watery, sugary and boozy, tiny bit metallic and long yeasty aftertaste. Very thin feeling and watery for being 8%, larger corse soda carbonation. Eh... Belgian malt liquor.

Bottle, 33 cl. A blonde to golden beer with some bubbles and a medium white lacing head. The smell is a bit fruity, some malts, light hoppy. The aroma is - like the Satan Red - also very light: a malty taste, with some bitterness and honey in the background, watery and alcohol. Far too weak for me.

Clear yellow-orange beer with a very thin head. Flavor is very very bitter, not my cup of tea.
