found this a little sweet and yeasty, some decent spice notes from fermentation. but after that there’s not much else going on. so-so belgian ale for a high price. cool labels, though.

Cloudy amber colour with fair head and lacing. Aroma is of yeast and apple cider. Strong malt and strong alcohol flavour with lemon, pear and bready aftertaste. Medium bodied.

Bottle, Belgian Belly, Chorlton. Clear gold with a white head. Fruit and yeast evident in aroma, with more of the same in the flavour. Sweetish, with a little booze kick in the finish. Unremarkable, but drinkable.

Bottle from specialitybeermerchants.com via Phil_L. Thanks very much! Poured a clear golden colour with a white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with a little spice. Quite sweet and dry. Pretty tasty. Easy to drink. Cheers!

Bottle Leipzig drank in Hamburg. Smooth, spicy, fruity, interesting. It’s more hop-bitter whereas Duvel is more dry in comparison.
