Amber with a white head. Nose is sweet dried fruits, light spices, and yeast. Decent on the palate, flavors are sweet malts, dried fruits, light alcohol, and candy finish.

Had this beer some time ago (years months), transferring data from a data base I was using to rate beer. As I drink these again I will add a complete review.

pours orange brown with a medium foamy head, micro carbonation, thick lacing. Lots of CO2 streams - looks very inviting. Metallic copper on the nose, and a bit of apple fruitiness. Creamy thick going down due to the rich micro CO2, intense dried fruit malt with a 6/10 sweetness, and then quickly cuts sharp orange peel bitter dry, sustaining a long bitterness down the center of the throat. Medium complexity, medium-high depth, medium-long length. An enjoyable mix of sweet fruit, sharp bitterness, foamy creaminess, metallic nose, and potent ABV. More of an acquired taste, but appreciable once you unravel all the flavour properties.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2012 33cl. bottle. It pours a cloudy amber-reddish liquid with a very high pillowy white head and a good lacing. Hints of sugar, fruit, alcohol and spices. Medium-full bodied. Pleasant and warming belgian strong ale. Much better than Satan Gold.

Pours hazy orange-amber with a full, bubbly cream coloured head. Aromas tend toward malt biscuits, stewed apricots and candied orange peel. More mellow than astringent on the nose. Immediate alcohol impact and then a flush of caramel and mellow stonefruit than softens on the palate. Good mouthfeel and soft, sweet finish that puckers slightly at the sides of the mouth. Not too bad, but not likely to rip my knickers off either.
