Hazy brown pour, whiteish head. Weak aroma, mostly earthy grass tones that I can pick up. Taste is neutral at first, slight bitter sting towards the end with a hint of yeast. Slick mouthfeel, tingy carbonation. It’s not bad as a beer but for a belg it’s nothing to write home about.

Clear reddish brown colour, white head. Aroma of raisins, brown sugar, malts. Sweet malty flavour, caramel, raisins. Sweet finish, brown sugar, madeira. Feels old, still half a year before the BBF date though.

Murky amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt/bread, yeast, toffee, & some fruit; Flavor of slight sweet malt, yeast, caramel, fruit, and light spice. Not too bad.

Headbanger (3488) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 19, 2015
11.2oz bottle 3/18/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-42° in Trappist Glass-Pours a clear lighter amber with a decent off white head and some floaties. Aroma of malt, caramel, and yeast. Taste of the same with some apricot and peach on the back end. This light to medium bodied brew is a bit different but better than the gold.

UXO (629) - CANADA - MAR 16, 2015
Pours hazy pale amber with a thin light beige head diminishing rapidly to nothing, no lacing. (3/5) Nose is peaches, citrus, caramel malt, Belgian yeast. (6/10) Taste is moderately strong sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Medium bodied, prickly to medium carbonation, mildly warming finish. (4/5) An OK BSPA. The flavours are simultaneously a little boring, and a little harsh, and the sweetness is a bit overpowering. It does, however, do a decent job of hiding the ABV, so there’s that? Not rally doing it for me. (12/20)

Bottle. Sweet, fruity aroma of apricots, canned peach. Excessively sweet taste with some phenols in the background, finishing quite peppery. Too sweet, like fermented peach syrup.

Kveldens siste flaske delt med Ovesen på Holmens bryggedag feb-14: rødlig kobberfarge med klassisk belgisk højt skum. Fersken, mango og villbringebær i aroma og smak. Alkoholen varmer bakerst i ganen. God.

The darker version of the classic Satan Gold, since 1992. Peach blonde with medium thick, quite stable head and bready and nutty malt character, adorned with some orange peel fraîcheur, sweetish, otherwise fairly neutral and a bit metallic; some herbal hops in the finish add balance. In all: a bit bland actually, I prefer Satan Gold over this.
