3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Indra (2476) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - AUG 20, 2004
Slight aroma, fruity and lightly tart with notes of apple skin, orange, pear, yeast and spicy hop with very faint touches of caramel sweetness. Attractive orange-copper color, lightly hazy, head is off-white, foamy and lasting. Flavor profile is tangy, again lightly fruity and sweet with hints of grape and pomegranate, and finishing with some light-moderate bitterness and medicinal alcohol. Palate is highly effervescent and moderately acidic, body is medium. Not quite as good as the Satan Gold, I believe.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - AUG 4, 2004
This bottled brew marked best before 10/24/2005 lot 03267/1 with a cool satanic cap poured a very large sized foamy head of fine to medium sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body was hazy very carbonated and weak brown in color. It had a mild caramel malt hop aroma. The medium strength mouth feel was initially a smooth and tingly then disappeared in the finish with a mild lingering malt hop flavor. The flavor was mildly vinous with caramel and malt notes.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hotstuff (3340) - Indiana, USA - AUG 1, 2004
Bottle. Poured a large frothy off-white head that contained fine-medium sized bubbles. Carbonated, cloudy and a deep dark orange hue. Malty, banana, spicy and clove aroma. Sweet, malty, and spicy flavor. Smooth and somewhat of a watery-thin mouthfeel. Light-medium bodied beer with good lacing.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 piscator34 (1798) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 18, 2004
Red and gold in colour with a yeasty, citric, and sour nose. Simple fruity flavors abound. This beer could really use some more carbonation and some additional flavors. It’s not disgusting, just very, very dull.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Radek Kliber (5906) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 12, 2004
Deep orange amber, big foamy head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruity with some unclean finish. Citric, bitter front with some black tea aftertaste. Clear example of confused Belgian.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 tiggmtl (4516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 12, 2004
Lightly malty yeasty aroma. Orange anmber with very long lasting off-white head that lasts forever (dense thick cover). Some solid coating lace. Somewhat tart, yeasty, malty flavour. Body somewhat thin. Bottle (sampled at Mondial 2004).
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2004
Red amber body with a big fluffy off white head. Some belgian yeast and alcohol in the aroma. Flavour is malty with some alcohol lingering underneath it. Pleasant but uninspired. Mondial 2T (Tiggmtl).
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Joeh (2038) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2004
Bottled. Alcohol well hidden. Fruit, citric, acidic, tart, one dimensional.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Syd (920) - Waconia, Minnesota, USA - JUN 1, 2004
Bottle pours a very hazy amber with a monster head and lots of lace. The aroma is mild, mostly of hops. The flavor is somewhat sour, shows hops, fruity, and fairly refreshing with a cleansing palate. Overall, too sour for the style.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thegreenrooster (2806) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 28, 2004
Pours a cloudy amber. Very hoppy citrus aroma. Flavor is a very tart, fruity, hoppy flavor. There is alot going on in this brew I can’t pick up. There is flavor but of what else? Not bad and not good all the same.
