3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bought in the bottle from the excellent "Beers of Europe" shop near Kings Lynn.
Mid brown colour. Dry-ish. Quite a subtle taste given itís strength. Definatly didnít taste like an 8%er

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Iíve had this twice from 2 differant batches. Both about a year from BB date.
It looks good in the glass. Like an orangey colored Duvel. THats where all comparison stops. Smells bizarre, like spoiled grapes, yeast and sex sweat. Tasted like I poured a bad Belgian sour down the wifes butt crack several times after a long hot session. If you died and went to hell this is probably what youíd be forced to drink.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep orange/copper with fluffy head initially. Nose is mildly fruity with yeastyness. Flavor is sweet and malty. The candi sugar is very apparent. Slight acidic, alcohol character in the finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled - Oxford BF. A slight reddish tinge to this otherwise blonde beer. The aroma is yeasty alcohol. The taste is fruity, slightly spicy and has a candy sugar dubbel like character. However itís all a bit unbalanced and weird. Not a good Belgian.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy copper coloured with a creamy off-white head. Lightly yeasty aroma with some light fruit. Mild yeasty flavour with light fruits and a slight bitter finish.
Not particularly smooth or balanced, but sort of quite good overall. I shall have to have another, it could grow on me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Red-orange with a huge, fluffy white head. Excellent retention with thick lacing. Very hazy with lots of yeast particles suspended throughout. Yeasty aroma, dusty, musty, cobwebby and plummy. Mildly yeasty flavor quickly turns bitter, then stingingly, cloyingly sweet/tart. Bitter finish is long lasting. A tad unbalanced.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Devilishly good... oh, the bad jokes. Beautiful cloudy reddish beer with a thich off-white head and sticky lace. Gorgeous spicy aroma, coriander, clove, black pepper. Caramel and toffee malts. Nice malty flavour with spicy phenols and esters and some light apple fruitiness. A bit of yeasty character as well. A touch over-carbonated.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy amber color, nice sized off white head that faded slowly and left behind a nice lace.Nice fruity aroma with a bit of spice and hops and a somewhat sweet side to it.Nice fruity flavor with a slight sourness coming through at the beginning and a mild hop flavor and just a slight hint of spice. Not bad but iím going to have to go against the flow and say the Gold was better then this brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice crimson color, beautiful, bold full whitish head...lookiní good, so far...
Aroma, fresh, zesty, citric, yeasty, i like, I like...
Taste: brisk, citric flavor, sourness is king here, but welcome, and refreshing...hey, Iím gonna drink me some more...not what I expected, but pretty damned cool, very citric...if you said "Belgian Red", this is not the taste Iíd think of at all, but itís a wickedly delicious sensation, nonetheless...I like it, though...sour, yeeah, but, still very tasty...lip-smackiníly so....hmmm, me-likey! Sweet, yet sour, tasty, underscored....this is not too terrible, sorry, Belzebub!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Looks nice--amber with a thick creamy head that leaves those sheets of lace that drives the women crazy. The description calls this a strong ale with a mild taste. I think bland might be a better word. All the usual Belgian suspects are there--sweetness, some vinous notes, spice, very light bitterness. Theyíre just not there in any signifigant qualities. It definitely reminds me of something... Oh yeah, Satan Gold--another member of the shitty Belgian beers named after the Dark Lord club.
