2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
$2.20 Bottle, Wine Warehouse, CHO. Pours... ok, there are chunks in this beer. Like chunks of snot or glue. Pours a chunk dark amber with a small head. Chunks settle to the bottom. Very mild aroma. Light maple and pumpkin. Some spicing. Taste is heavy nutmeg and cinnamon, light maple, pumpkin, and copper. The chunks turned out to be not-so-well blended spices as the beer was spicier the more I drank.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bronze copper appearance with a half-finger off-white head; strong lacing. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, pumkin, squash and sugary, syrupy sweetness with alcohol hints at the 9.5% ABV. The taste, rum, vanilla and spice and molasses with medium carbonation. Dry finish on the back end. A strong ale that is full-bodied and weighty, but drinkable

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle. Hazy oppression color topped by a small creamy beige head. Faint toasted malt nose has a hint of cinnamon. Flavor is a amalgamation of roasted squash, cinnamon, maple syrup and herbal hops. Obvious alcohol upfront. Earthy, dark sugar comes through in middle. Bittersweet woody funk in finish. Rather unique flavors at play. Interesting and worth seeking out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Good all around seasonal beer, nice pumpkin flavors with hint of maple. Strength doesn’t come through the taste, good choice for the style

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First taste of this brew and it is pretty good. Definitely taste the maple in it and maybe if drunk a little warmer the squash. Hints of a rum finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
DATE TASTED: October 16, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Affligem chalice.. OCCASION: return home after wishing Mom a happy birthday in H-town... APPEARANCE: dense, dark chestnut body; sediment settles to the glass’s bottom; incredibly strong head retention, at a half-finger off-white; lacing is inconsistent but strong... AROMA: nutmeg, cinnamon and the slightest hints of sugary, syrupy sweetness; the bourbon/rum element is alluring and hints at the 9.5% ABV to come .. PALATE: warming, active and fizzy on the tongue; dry finish on the back end; otherwise, a strong ale that is full-bodied and weighty... TASTE: the rum--vanilla and spice--and molasses combination is lethal--full, flavorful and sweet; easily drinkable for a beer this weighty; a candied, dark and sweet profile that lightly evokes the autumnal vegetables, especially pumpkin and squash... OVERALL: having heard this is served in syrup-rimmed martini glasses at the brewery, I could not approximate those accouterments--and yet, the syrup and vegetable are formidable nonetheless, with the alcohol as subtle as the hops themselves...a sticky-sweet desertif that delivers a wicked good experience...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle to pint glass. Been wanting to try this. Does not disappoint. Aroma is root vegetable, touch of spice, hint of maple. Something almost wine-y. All very subtle. Cloudy medium brown look, creamy off white head. Taste is definitely butternut squash and nutmeg. Maybe maple. Feel is creamy, but leaves a sharp dryness on finish. Nice beer. I know they don’t want to kill it with sweetness, but a little more maple would go a long way and make this superb. The harpoon maple is better.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Drank from a bottle at Andy Gavins in Scranton. Has a nice imperial ale flavor with nice maple aromas. Taste is delicious but way too much spice, alright but delicious for an imperial with 10%

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Early fall beer grabbed at Crystal City Wine Shop. Nice chestnut brown color with a good tan head that lasts. The aroma is pretty much pumpkin pie and candied yams. Nice vegetal pumpkin at first, then some spiciness and finally some lingering rum warmth. Mighty fine fall sipper.

Bottle given to me by Dave, drank July 2015. Thanks Dave for this final beer from participating in your wedding party. Despite my long time to open this, it was realy nice. Some pumpkin, rum, light spices. Interesting.
