Aroma is malts, yeast and hint of tropical fruit. The flavor is fruit/tropical fruit, malts and a mildly sour finish.

12oz bottle from Binnyís Lakeview. Pours a mostly clear amber colored body with an inch thick, dense, rocky and foamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is somewhat fruity with a bready, somewhat sticky caramel malt backing. A bit of a spiciness and earthiness in there as well. Flavor is tough to put down. Earthy and papery up front with a lot of oxidation present. Some toasty, bready caramels at the back end with just a slight sweetness, but this finishes pretty harsh with a spicy and earthy bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a lively, foamy carbonation. Overall, this is not a very good beer. Oxidized, bitter, and tough to put down. Not the worst beer Iíve ever had, but itís certainly down there on the list.

Pours a slightly hazy deep copper-amber with a fairly buoyant larger-bubbled khaki head that settles to a thin film and leaves substantial sticky lace behind. Nose involves some bubble gum, some earthy tea leaf-esque hop notes, almost a touch of honey, and some hearty doughy yeast. Taste is fairly sweet and fairly bitter, well balanced. Medium bodied, softer yet still active carb, with a somewhat dull finish. Not a bad beer, quite quaffable, nice to look at. A couple less-than-desirable features, but nothing too detracting from the experience.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of foamy light off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light amber colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was mild with malty soft citrus notes. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of bitter hops and mild caramel. A decent quaff-able one that I would consider drinking again.

This is labeled both ESB and amber but does not seem to resemble an English style of any sort so I guess Iíll go ahead and call it an American Amber--whatever that means. Itís a clear amber color w/ a large lasting head of mixed bubbles. This stuff is OK overall but I think my bottle has some non-intentional funky notes which probably came from some stray yeast in the brewery. Likely due to a similar cause, it is overcarbonated and quite fizzy, which I suppose cuts the sweetness but doesnít really work. It seems like thereís maybe a decent malt hops balance going on here but itís just not working w/ the rather glaring flaws also present.

Super smooth bitter ale. Not a lot of bite in this bitter, but itís a nice sessioner with a nice mixup of hops and malt. Nothing too overpowering, but certainly a nice brew.

Smells of sweet bread....Two finger head after the pour.....Taste is quite malty.....Pretty good mouth feel.....Nice lacing left on the glass......Palate is malty as well....Not a bad beer, but not my favorite style.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2012 Aroma is sweet, smells like cotton candy. Appearance is clear, between amber and brown in color. White head. Flavor is sweet at the front, fades toward the back, pretty disappointing. Mouthfeel is light, not too carbonated. Overall, worth tasting but not for me.
