Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light fruittiness with a crisp lingering earthy finish. A fairly dull beer.

Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a clear amber color with a medium offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet sugar caramel with very faint citrus and floral notes. The taste is bitter hops, earthy notes, toffee and caramel. Medium bodied.

AMber pour with a gigantic head, you would think its a belgian. Totally uncontrollabel head. The smell is pleasant, herbal hops, spices, bread malt, hint of fruitiness and some etal. Mouthfeel is super-carbonated it is like drinking pop rocks. Flavor is lightly malty, lightly hoppy, kind of hard ot pick out flavors due to the carbonation issue.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of foamy light off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light amber colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was mild with malty soft citrus notes. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of bitter hops and mild caramel. A decent quaff-able one that I would consider drinking again.

Rated on 8-21-2010 at Fort Wayne, IN Gathering. This bottled beer courtesy of jsquire pours a small head that mostly diminishes, hazy golden body, no visible carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malt and bitter hops. The taste is lightly bitter, malt and citrus hops. The palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is not overly bitter tasting, but there is a lingering bitter aftertaste. There is not a lot going on with this beer as it lacks character and is a so-so beer.

esjaygee (3903) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 13, 2010
Clear amber with a thin tan head that dissolves into a thin layer with minimal lacing. Aroma of caramel sticky bread, mild fruit with some florally/vegetal hops. Pretty blasé and the first descriptor that comes to mind is thin bodied and over-roasted malt. Vegetal hops and mild bitterness mix in with a rather tasteless malt base. Just not very good.

Aroma is malts, yeast and hint of tropical fruit. The flavor is fruit/tropical fruit, malts and a mildly sour finish.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting courtesy of jsquire - Pours light amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is very mild hops. It tastes moderately bitter with caramel malt. To my surprise this one’s a little astringent on the palate so I don’t think the flavors came together quite right. It finishes bitter, but not unpleasant.

Pours hazed, woody brown with a thick tan head. Scent is wood, nuts, earth. Taste is earthy hop, caramel malt. Smooth, a litttle tingly....peppered. Earthy bittering. Not bad at all.
