Brewer’s Reserve. Get hoppy with this Imperial IPA. Hop In Yer Rye is bursting with flavor and complexity. A predominantly rye malt profile provides a unique backbone, matched perfectly with the delicate balance of bittering and aroma hops.

Bottle. Orange juice, caramel malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy amber with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet orange juice, caramel malt, and strong bitter pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Decent balance - pretty sweet and bitter but not extreme.

Rated on 01-14-2016 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a medium sized off-white head that is mostly lasting, transparent amber body, fizzy carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents.citrus hops, grapefruit, rye, spicy, and caramel malt. This beer’s flavor is moderately bitter, citrusy, fruity, spicy, sweet, and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. A very drinkable beer with a very good taste. There is a lingering hop and bitter aftertaste that is not offensive. This is a beer I would partake in again.

(bottle - 12 oz) Copper pour with a thick white head. Citrus hops with a lot of pine resin in the nose. Flavor has a nice rye dryness along with those piney hops and a slightly sweet and sticky finish. [9/12/15]

May I just say this is an excellent beer with pizza? Big citrus blast upon pouring and the rye gives it a spicy bite. The Saugatuck marketers might say "delicate balance," but this ale provides a bold punch. Poured from a bottle because, thankfully, Saugatuck now has limited WI distribution.

Deep amber. Nose of dank citrus and mild pine with some rye and caramel malt. Flavor is boozy citrus bitterness, rye malt, toasted malt, and light caramel. Lingering citrus and booze. A touch of diacetyl. Decent.

Solid well balanced. Fruity at first with with wheat and mild hoppy bitter at the finish. I’m a fan but nothing earth shattering.

Cloudy, light amber. Thick, offwhite head. Aroma has rye up front with hoppy notes. Oily, smooth mouthfeel. Flavour has more rye, solid hoppy bitterness, something woody. Nice one.
