Bottle from Voldby. Pours Black with an off-white head. Bad taste of sweet milk, vanilla, strawberry. The taste is really artificial. Almost undrinkable.

Noire.

Shared with northropfrye. Well, I certainly loved this beer! I could both smell and taste the cocoa, strawberry, and vanilla, and it was all wonderful. Some might say it’s too sweet or one-dimensional (3-dimensional in this case?) but frankly I love sweet, and this beer is doing something different and nails the neapolitan flavours, in my opinion.

Dark brown pour. Chocolate and slight vanilla nose. Quite nice. Chocolate, some fruit, vanilla, and a nice lactose and roasted malt finish.

Bottled. Dark black with a small, light tan head. Chocolate milk aroma with sweet strawberry highlights. Silky smooth palate definitely brings to mind ice cream. Vanilla beans, light coffee and licorice in the finish. Pretty tasty, though bordering on cloyingly sweet at times.

Cherry and strawberry aroma. Dark body. Taste is also on the sweet fruity side for a stout. With a touch of coffee. Nice beer.

Poured a black colour with a thin toffee head. Aroma is rich with chocolate malt and notes of strawberry. Flavor is much of the same, but cannot find any hints of vanilla. Very creamy texture to this heavy bodied brew that represents its namesake quite well. Was initially on gaurd prior to purchase, but very happy that I tried it. A wonderful take on a great style.

Sweet aroma in that you can pick up the strong smell of strawberry on top of the stout. Pours as a rich stout with minimal head. A nice creamy texture with sweetness right off the bat - you can pick up the berry right away which dissipates over time into dark roasted malts. I didn’t pick up a lot of vanilla flavor. Overall I am glad I tried this, but probably would not drink more than one at any given time. I would likely try others before coming back to this one.

This was a very tasty beer - though I doubt I could drink more than one. Poured dark with a tan head (came out pretty thicker head than expected, but possibly just a bad pour). Aroma had strawberry, a hint of vanilla, and the lactose smell of a lot of milk stouts. Distinct strawberry taste, with a bit of a cream (probably due to it being a milk stout). Though the strawberry stayed through it all, the chocolate did come through. Vanilla didn’t really become noticeable at all to me. A bit thin for a milk stout on the palate, but overall I think it was an interesting beer and would recommend it to others that like to try different non-traditional takes.

Bottle to goblet Aroma of chocolate milk powder, cherry cough syrup, malt, and cream. Silky black, with a creamy light tan head. Taste is reminiscent of cough syrup, with chocolate and vanilla but strawberry, not cherry as in the aroma.

This is a very tasty stout. Pours black with dark mocha head. Aromas of strawberries and cream. Flavors are sweet strawberries and bitter dark chocolate with a toasty finish. This is great stuff.
