Sehr dunkelbraune fast schwarze Farbe, geringe aber feine bräunliche Schaumkrone. Geruch nach fruchtig nach Erdbeeren, Vanille, Röstmalz. Geschmack röstmalzig, schokoladig, Vanille, frische Erdbeeren, lecker und interessantes Bier!

Tap at Craft Beer Rising (London, 19 February 2015) Shows black ink with latte colored rims. The nose literally smells like neopolitan ice cream. All the flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry are there. The palate is exactly the same with a strong emphasis on the strawberry. There is an extremely slight sweetness from the lactose but it’s completely dry. This is definitely a dessert beer. Light coffee notes here and there where it finishes off the bitterness. Smooth and well carbonated. This is definitely a fun beer and nothing like it.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2015 12oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aromas are as advertised: neapolitan ice cream. Lactose, strawberries and cream, and milk chocolate can all be picked out by the nose. It’s a deep, dark, nearly opaque brown colored beer with a light, fizzy, beige head that dissapears leaving a slick, reflective surface and hints of lace. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. The beer is smooth with a fizzy carbonation. The medium body tastes like it smells with a stronger, bittersweet chocolate at the finish. It’s crisp with a dark chocolate / chocolate cake aftertaste that lingers briefly.

Sampled at Northgate Liquors tasting. What is this?! Fruity, ice creamy, Neapolitan flavors without being cloying.

355ml bottle. Black with a short brown head. Strawberry leaps out in the aroma. The "chocolate" element is there in the form of roasted malt. Taste is much the same, and whilst strawberry isn’t quite as strong it’s very cohesive. Crisp carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. This could’ve been a mess but they made it work.

Bottle: poured a super opaque black body with tall frothy head that settled to around 3mm in the end. High carbonation and lots of lacing. The initial smell was a bit like yeast but I could also feel a faint smell of strawberries and maybe some vanilla. The taste was so interesting, a good blend of roasted malts, strawberry, ice cream and even some chocolate. Really smooth texture, almost syrupy. A very good and drinkable beer.

Bottle pour. Very unique (obviously). Aroma is sweet and syrupy. Taste is sugary cocoa with artificial strawberry/vanilla aftertaste. Very mild bittering. Body is thin, smooth mouthfeel, quick finish. Overall an enjoyable novelty, a bit oversweet with too much artificial flavoring. Rated highly because I can't turn down a milk stout ;) ---Rated whilst imbibing

Bottle from Stu666 and AllMyVinyl. This is proper stuff. It’s craft, because it delivers. Neapolitan in a bottle. I like this. Could be a bit thicker, but everything else is right.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Decent head. Nose - strawberry, chocolate and vanilla if course. Taste - melted Neapolitan ice cream. Chocolate coming through strong at the start then strawberry big on the finish. Palate - medium bodied with a rich creamy texture and an elegant finish despite the richness. Overall - full marks for conception. Well by full I mean 16.
