3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted on 7/1/13 from a capped 12oz bottle sent to me in the Easter Bunny BIF. Pours completely opaque dark brown, nearly black, with an average tan head that leaves average lace, along with tons of clinging to the glass. The nose is sweet with strawberry syrup, plenty of milk chocolate, and a nice vanilla aroma. The flavor is the same as the nose, but all of the flavors are on the dry side, with a nice dose of bitter dark chocolate. The body is full and creamy with average, but very smooth carbonation, and a long dry strawberry and bitter dark chocolate finish. This is very pleasant.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice carbonation and mouthfeel, although slightly lacking the complete full body. The neapolitan flavour is nicely mild and the strawberry chocolate comes through as the strongest flavour.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured into a pint glass. Black with a thin tan head and ok lacing. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Light roasted barley as well. Flavor is cocoa and roasted barley up front. Vanilla and a bit of strawberry follow, with more chocolate on the finish. Medium bodied and well done for what they are trying to achieve.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a stout black with a tan head that does not last long at all. Aroma had strawberry at first but that went away now Iím only getting chocolate. Taste is a bitter stout taste not getting any VCS flavors at all. Not bad tasting just not neopolatin tasting. Overall disappointing but not bad.

This brew showcases the changes in flavor in correlation to temperature. If you take your time enjoying this one you will taste chocolate first, then vanilla as it warms in the glass and finally strawberry at the end. I would classify it as a great novelty beer, but itís more than that! Nice heavy, heavy body that makes you think it really is a milkshake. It has a sweet medium finish. A great dessert brew pairing!

Absolutely the best on nitro. This tastes exactly as it is labeled. My go to stout if I can find it on nitro.

12 oz. bottle from Old Town; shared with my Boo. Aroma: Neapolitan ice cream thatís heavy on the strawberry; a pretty healthy amount of milk sugar to boot. Definite dessert-beer territory. Appearance: Cola ruby brown with a creamy mocha ring of head. Flavor: Strawberry up front followed by lighter vanilla; the finish has a little lingering sweetness and finally includes chocolate in the tally of flavors. Palate: Light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lingering finish. Overall: This is a fun beer. If you can take it as such, it can be an enjoyable experience. I want to try this with Neapolitan ice cream.
