3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma gives a large whiff of chocolate and roastiness at first, but recedes leaving strawberry and vanilla. In the flavor, the strawberry is rather strong, but tends to come across as somewhat artificial. Chocolate in there as well, with a presence of vanilla. It’s okay, but I can’t say I really like it that much.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown, black, with a few latte-colored bubbles hanging around. Aroma is chocolate ice cream, milk chocolate, some roast, light coffee, mocha. Taste is semi-sweet, chocolate, nougat, chocolate ice cream, light roast. Somewhat thin. Too thin for the taste. Fairly high carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Sendik’s in Brookfield, Interested to see in WI. Cellar aged 3 months. Served at 10 minutes out of the refrigerator temp. Pours a very very dark brown with a tan head leaving nice spotty lacing. Nose is led with sweet malts, caramel, strawberry, some bakers chocolate. Taste has sweet caramel, juicy strawberry, other fruits, some roast, some dark
chocolate. Medium to full bodied without any real alcohol presence.
A bit rough. Finishes in an interesting sweet-bitter blend, with some
of the fruity strawberry lingering with the malts. Smoothes out and evens out as it warms. This is a bit of a one hit wonder, but well done as it is. Why wasn’t the - fairly obvious - barrel aging for a stronger "vanilla" presence done? Would add depth and backbone as well, although maybe would be too sweet ... 13.8

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015
Dark color, almost black, with light brown head. This beer combines the dark malts, with a biscuity and nutty quality, for an original result, mildly sweet, with excellent vanilla, chocolate. It also has a light berry aroma.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Thin, soft, creamy and nougat colored foam. A little flavor of dried fruits, but pretty quickly take over a fine aroma of good chocolate. The taste is like a good rich chocolate dessert. Not chocolate mousse but rather the flavor that one finds in the chocolate ice cream or a chocolate milkshake. Nice thick creamy filling and a small discreet taste of coffee with cream. Easy taste of alcohol knocking on the ednl. A super stout suitable for all types of desserts, perhaps best for desserts with soft fruit that can bring some fruit acid in the palate.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber. This beer is gimmicky, yet spot on. Maybe leans into the strawberry a little heavily, could’ve use a little more chocolate. Really a strawberry vanilla stout....all the stout tones are muted. Not imperial or excessive so it remains drinkable. Kind of have to give it credit for capturing what it set out to do, really has an ice cream artificial sweetness thing going on. Not unlike Shorts or Pipeworks monstrosities, but more drinkable. OK.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at VCBW Fest, pours deep dark reddish brown with a humungous tan head. Aroma brings out loads of vanilla ice cream, and some berry fruitiness. Flavour is lovely, with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream - just like drinking the ice cream. Fantastic stuff. It sounds like a gimmick beer, but they nailed this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at The Library, Cowley Road, Oxford, Thursday 28th May 2015 off to see Pokey LeFarge at O2 with Pete, Will and Richard. Pours black with a creamy white head. Interestingly there is a clear ice cream aroma with a little fresh strawberry and vanilla showing. A really decent beer this smooth, rich, a little milky/creamy and of course vanilla with coffee/cappuccino flavours swirling around, there is a little berry fruitiness but not as obvious as on the nose. Surprised to find this here but it is very good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep brown. Smells like jam, vanilla, roasty malt...definitely fits the name. I dont really honestly love fruited stouts, and this one really didnt work for me. Tastes like jam mixed with tobacco and coffee. It certainly fits with what they were going for, it just doesnt work for me.
