COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A refreshing sessionable pale ale made exclusively utilizing Cascade hops from start to finish. The citrus and grapefruit hop characteristics balanced with a clean malt body makes it difficult to have just one.

Thanks to Dad. Very pale clear yellow ale. Quite hoppy for an APA, citrus and piney. Not a lot of maltiness to balance the hops. Overall big for the strength. Serving: Bottle

pours hazy very light golden almost yellow with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. spicy and flowery citrus, oranges, chamomile, lean grainy cereals/malts, pepper, earthy/woodsy notes - vanilla hints, weed, grass and oxidation/dusty traces. moderately low carbonation, light body - slightly watery, clean, balanced and crisp herbal-grassy-spicy-citrusy finish. lean quenching pale ale.

[Bottle] Pours a deeper golden color with a fizzy white head. Nose is mostly of sweet malts, with lighter floral hop notes mixed in. The flavor is quite sweet for the style. Mostly bready malts and biscuit notes. Lighter floral and grassy hops fade in and out. Thinner mouthfeel. Lingering sweet malt finish. Not crazy about this. Needs better balance.

Dark golden slightly amber color with very little touch off white head. A bit floral. Not too much bitterness. Ok but not a great experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle - pours a pale gold. Thin piney aroma. Thin body, with unbalanced bitterness. Not bad but not my favorite offering from this brewery.

On tap at Saugatuck Brewery. Clear amber with a thin tan head. Aroma is heavy floral with caramel and bready malts. Fizzy bodied brew is heavy on the flowers with some pale malt backing and a semi-bitter finish.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy pale orange with 2 fingers of thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, herbal and citrusy hops. Taste is heavily bitter. Grapefruit, herbal, citrus. Light bodied with a slightly thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, not bad. Drinkable, but nothing to seek out.

2013-09-08. Crisp dark yellow body with a tiny white head. Aroma of hops, grain, bit of grapefruit? Flavour is pleasantly bitter throughout, light grains and muted citrus. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Decent but just okay. Bottle at Cafe D’Mongo’s Speakeasy, Detroit

12oz bottle from Binnys Schaumburg. Pours a hazy orange-copper color.. Massive foamy white head. Earthy dry wheat, funky aroma. All signs point to mild infection. Its not entirely undrinkable, with a big zesty, piny hop bill, it sort of survives. Comes across pretty big for 4.9%. Decent ingredients, but pretty weak execution.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2013 Got this while making a couple of sampler six-packs at Drake Party Center in Kalamazoo after visiting Bells. Mine poured with a massive, highly carbonated head. Aroma was more like a Belgian ale, and it had a similar Belgian sourness to it (which I really don’t enjoy). Very odd. There were hops, no question, but that "sourness" really turned me off. Would not try again, and now that I’m trying the second one I got - and THANKFULLY the last - all I can say is: who the heck makes a beer like this, tastes it and thinks it’s good enough to put on the market???? Yuck.
