2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A very middling IPA, to me. . . smells are all malt and barley, and it is a strangely light, cloudy-colored beer.
The sharp hop profile subsides pretty quickly, which does make it somewhat drinkable. But the pilsnery, roasty notes really detract from it for me. The rare IPA that could use more attention to hops. . . meaning, not a real IPA.

Im not a huge fan of the dryer beers. It has a lighter actual flavor profile. I’d drunk it again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Best Western International Gateway in Romulus Michigan near Detroit airport. Decent IPA. Not remarkable but very hoppy and refreshing. Clear, golden colour, clean finish, a bit creamy but not a remarkable palate, mildly carbonated, head dissipated quickly and there was very little lacing.

12 oz bottle. 1178. BB 131229. (Siciliano’s) Grand Rapids, MI.
Clear golden colour with a small white head.
Fruity and candy sweet hops and cookie malty sweetness in the aroma.
The flavour is grapefruity and mild resiny hops, moderate bitterness and some maltiness. Much drier.
A bit watery and one-dimensional. Harsh bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle from Binnys singles rack. Pours an orangey copper with a whitish head leaving a bit of lace. Aroma has sweet fruits, pine and caramel Taste is of pine, some fruit, some citrus. Some malt back. Medium bodied. Solidly tasty IPA. Should have stopped there instead of New Holland on the 50th trip.
